*Sniff* Good memories. Was my first Sega console ever and graduated HS back then as well and took a year off to work, buy my first car and decide what I wanted to about college. Ironic that 14 years later, im gonna be part of even more EPIC launch at midnight to pick up my GHOST edition for PS4.
I love being a gamer....

Loved the dreamcast
-
That's not ironic; it's just coincidental.
-
I miss sega.
i know they are still making games but that isn't the same
-
Oh you took a year off? That's what I'm doing since I also want to work and get my first car. Funny how small the world is.
-
Dreamcast just needed a hit—a Halo of its own.
-
aaaaw yis. i still have mine hooked up and ready :)

Dreamcast was a FANTASTIC console and yes I still play mine sometimes too. I actually imported the Japanese one because it came out around Christmas the year before it launched in the US. I only had a few games until the US launch but it was still awesome...especially Powerstone. And, as stated below, coincidence is not irony.
-
I never played the Sega, I had a Nintendo 64 and Super Nintendo, it was all PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS4 after that.
-
He'll yeah I won a free dreamcast from game-works. Two or my favorite games on that system were chuchurocket, and worms Armageddon.

Edited by BlackWrath313: 8/25/2014 11:15:48 PMKinda off topic but related to yours. I'm working 12 hours a day in a machine shop and now I see the importance of a degree in something. How should I go about getting back into college working all these damn hours? I'm pulling like 60 hours a week. Only need 18 credits to get my bachelors

Jet Grind Radio was the shit! Code Veronica!
-
I'm not gonna lie. I miss the Pokemon phase,
-
Yup, I had one as well :)
-
Wasnt soulcalibur the first console game to run in 720 on that system?
-
Where's a picture of Eric Cartman and his Sega Dreamcast when you need one?
-
Is SEGA dead?

Hell, I remember loading in a cassette in to a Radio Shack TSR-80 to play Temple of Apshire (Google that). Later came Zork, ahh the joys of DOS based games. I was estatic when I got a Commador 64 and had Pool of Radiance on 5 1/4 inch floppies. Yes, I did play the original Pong too.

Not ironically, but coincidentally. If it were ironic, it would have been a horrible day 14 years ago. http://www.differencebetween.net/language/words-language/difference-between-irony-and-coincidence/

I remembered waiting in line for a few hours to pick up my Dreamcast. Congrats on managing to get a Ghost edition! I wish I was still living in Los Angeles, as I might have made it in time to pre-order a Ghost edition on Xbox One. My local Gamestop in Baton Rouge sold out within minutes (they had a very small allotment).

The Dreamcast came out the day I started my senior year of high school. That didn't stop me from going to the midnight launch the night before. I still have my Dreamcast to this day, and it definitely was not my first Sega. Genesis and Game Gear were in my collection long before and I still have those as well. Oh, and it was 15 years ago. Dreamcast launched on 9.9.99.

Sword of the berserk. One of my all time favorites
-
I remember I bought a ps 1 when I was graduating hs. Later got all my money out of it when I sold it for my wedding. Ty for taking me down memory lane.
-
That isn't what irony means, but that is a cool story.

Edited by Shenanigenizer: 8/26/2014 3:46:37 AMI remember the first sonic game I played, I fell in love with gaming that very first loop i went around and the very first spring bumper I hit. Even since then gaming in general has always been a passion. Ahh memories.
