I think you are all underestimating what Bungie has in store for us come launch day.
People are complaining that the game is much smaller than we expected. Not as many guns or Armour as expected. But do you really think Bungie would even open more than 10 percent of the game in the beta? I think some of you are going to be shocked by the scale of this game. Bungie has even gon as far as to say everybody will have unique weapons and Armour. Thats alot of -blam!-ing gear.
If you don't believe it, watch the 2014 GDC video where they show you the tools they use to create weapons and armour. They can make a completely new piece of armour in like an hour. Where as it probably take most developers 4 times that.

1 ReplyIt's been said numerous times that Destiny is Bungie's biggest game ever. So then we look at the 3 biggest Bungie games, Halo 1-3. Those were pretty big, and me being a dyed in the wool Playstation user, even WE know how big Halo was. For them to say Destiny is or will be bigger than that isn't just chest thumping. They've been the top of the Microsoft developer foodchain for 2 generations, so I trust in their abilities to back up what they say and I'm only a new guy here. Oh ye of little faith...

6 Repliesthe video says pretty much that all hunters will look almost the same, all titans will and all warlocks will.. so warlocks wil alsways have the coat and the shielded helmet, hunters always the half long cape and the googles and titans the backwards shield on the helmet and medievla style armor.. so. just paint it different and thats the "variety" ? go to Dragons dogma, and whoa there you find a system for distinguished yet Class based system that REALLY differs from armor to armor.. destiny has millions of clones running around.. just different decals and colours..

9 RepliesI'd be careful with your un-objective support, and your claims of Bungie claims. Bungie is a business, and as such they will make sure they bend the truth so that the most amount of profit can be made (this should not reflect the mentality of the employees that work there, it is merely the marketing aspect of any business that requires large amounts of patrons in order to make profit). Don't ever forget Peter Molyneux and the false claims of the Fable series.

Sure they are, but do you think it will change their mind if at the end the Traveller haves baby Travellers to help restore the Golden Age. They could careless, for them Destiny is flawed, will never be Halo (1,2,3 or Reach). If they nerf or buff everything in the PvP portion of the game, it'll never satisfy them.........Some people just like to see the world burn!

Bungie let us explore 50% of the areas available to is in the Beta, I can talk about weapons or armor. But there is only 4 areas and only ten PvP maps. Most shooters come out with at least 14 or so :/

I sit here and quickly scroll through comments and read posts/comments that is, in most cases, a waste of my time. I'm a gamer. I wait for a game to release. I play it. I make my judgement. I don't bitch. I don't care for console wars although I have my preferences, at the end of the day, internet comments and posts are just crybabys and rants. Good day

8 RepliesI find it hilarious how people judge the game size by a beta. It is such a logical approach. I mean we obviously explored venus and mars, we obviously played the vault not to mention all the strikes and daily events, we obviously know the lvl cap after 20, we obviously experienced all nightfall missions as well as all story missions etc. And we all know the traveler is fake because the purple ball is the real thing, We look at the traveler but the purple ball is working in shadows behind our backs. This game has nothing on COD. I will enjoy that 2hour campaign in COD more than destiny which is too small and has nothing to offer + it has way too many immature folk playing as the hunter whereas COD has all those mature people plaing well as a team and COD has competitive player vs player. Destiny has that too although it isn't very competitive. To conclude things COD is better in EVERY aspect of this half-game called Destiny... Now then lets see those kind and non-offensive replies.

3 RepliesI think you'll be able to race through the story if you want, bungie said it had about 15 hours of story missions, but the fun is going to be from exploring, I wasn't able to go to the moon, but from what I've seen of the new videos bungie has released it looks like Earth and the moon are the two smallest levels, and there's still areas that we weren't able to explore on both Earth and the moon. I don't think any of the zones will be as large as skyrim, but I think the combined area of them all will be larger. And since it is online, they could constantly update the game with new weapons and gear. Only 2 and a half more weeks then we'll know for sure.
