It's called explore mode. Private match it up in the sunshine by the lake.
-
Here's the deal, when you allow private and custom matches in a game , you. (The developer) lose some control and allow third parties to impact and influence your product. No private or custom matches means Bungie is solely in control (for better or for worse ). I obviously would like to see private and custom matches but I understand why Bungie would not want to include them.

I am against this for the following reasons: Too much trolling, too much opportunity for practicing ridiculous cover positions and camping spots. I would rather it take time to figure that stuff out because you have to deal with real opponents.
-
Why do you think the game won't have them?
-
Can you elaborate why though? You posted comments in loads of threads moaning about this but I'm yet to see you actually give a reason why it bothers you so much. Honest question...

Edited by Alex_Supertramp1: 8/20/2014 6:32:37 AMI don't care too much about private matches. I think the game is plenty competitive without it. I'm not against it, as long as it can't be used to upgrade weapons and pad your stats. I can foresee a bunch of pre teens creating dummy psn accounts and shooting their friends over and over again in private matches to access upgrades and level up more quickly. If they can prevent that I don't really care one way or the other. As long as everyone is on a level playing field I'm cool. I do think there should be a way to seek out other clans to battle and not just pit a well established clan against a bunch of randoms.

No, we don't. The Crucible exists for a reason. Use it.
-
Yea... No, we don't, destiny is a co-operative PVE focused game, NOT pvp.
-
I agree
-
You people who don't support this feature, why -don't- you want it? Lack of private matches = no competitive PVP scene. No tournaments. This would be an option that literally would have no effect on you whatsoever if you didn't want to use it. And really? Debating the semantics of need vs want to sidestep the discussion? You all might as well be trolling.
-
No you do not. Go play CoD or Battlefail. Bye!

Edited by ShackledDreams: 8/19/2014 12:51:31 PMNeed? I do not think that word means what you think it means. We need water and food to survive. I think this falls into the want category as in I want to win the megamillions lottery or I want more classes/subclasses in Destiny. Want =/= Need

support

No you dont
-
I am all for giving the 9 to 16 year old red bull swilling FPS bunch private matches if it will keep them out of my hair. VtxR - PS3
-
need is a strong word but there is no reason not to give players the option and players of all skill levels love custom games from the highly competitive to those who just want a free for all snipers match or something
-
In an effort to manage expectations, you should be asking for this in the first expansion in December.
-
Even TitanFall has added them into a new Beta. I hope they do add it in, because it would mean competitive Crucible matches.
-
Private matches sounds as kinky, hot, and seductive as a private booth. So Bungie ready for my quarters and used socks....
-
Didn't you already make a topic about private matches?
-
Definitely
