I still have hope for this game. What a statement. With all the chaos in the forums I figured I might as well point out something positive. Everyone is quick to point out every little negative. First point, I want to discuss the many reasons why this game is awesome: -It is made by a competent and experienced developer -The alpha and beta met the hype for me (personal reason yes, but they were really awesome) -It's multi platform. Everyone is free to play this game who owns a console (Sorry PC users, but you'll probably get a port in the future) -Strikes are super fun (In my humble opinion) -Exploring 4 different planets will be awesome -Fighting unique and interesting enemies in fantastic environments -This game seems challenging so far -Lots of weapon variety and exotic gear looks awesome -PvP adds a nice change of pace -Space magic -Elemental abilities -Awesome moves (Angel of light anyone? Can't wait to see that in action) -Probably more but that's good for now. Good. Now that I've got that out of my system, let's talk about this community. First the console war. There is really a simple solution: -Xbox players stop crying about a bit of exclusive content and other minor factors -Playstation users stop trolling Xbox players -Stop with all this "superior console" crap. It doesn't really apply to Destiny -Focus on discussing and enjoying this great game. To the PVE vs. PVP war (seems to have hit traction in the past two days): -PvPers stop saying PVP is the end all be all of game modes and is far superior to PVE. Stop saying PVP is being dragged down by PVE. And stop saying that you're better than everyone/PVE is for scrubs -PVEers stop combating the implementation of private matches. It has no effect on you, just a positive effect on PVPers. Also, stop saying that PVP is an irrelevant portion of this game To everyone who cries about stuff like this: -Nerf _____ -Buff _____ -BUNGIE YOU MUST ADD _______ -NO PRIVATE MATCHES THIS IS AN OUTRAGE -NO SPLITSCREEN BUNGIE HATES US -CONTENT IS LIMITED THIS GAME SHOULD BE ENDLESS -Etc. etc. ( I honestly can't cover it all) Stop crying. Complaining is fine, but back up your opinion with good reasoning, don't insult/demean those who disagree with you, and don't say Bungie has to do this. They don't, it's their own NEW IP that no one has seriously played and they can do whatever they want. Also, let's wait till the full game comes out b4 crying about every single thing. To the haters: Haters will generally post stuff like this: -I cancelled my pre order cause ________ -Destiny sucks/is borderlands: halo edition/will become irrelevant -Anyone who likes this game is _________ Haters are people who try to get others to hate this game. They're generally mad that Bungie didn't do everything perfect for them, and should honestly cancel their pre order and leave these forums if they can't handle it. Ignore these people's threads. Final remarks: Look, allot of people are disappointed with aspects of this game. I can see where they are coming from; I would like some things changed myself. However, this game still looks to be epic, so I'll play it regardless and have a great time. However, if something is so "deal-breaking" for you that you can't play/buy it, don't. Cancel your pre order if you don't want to play this anymore. But don't stick around. Actually screw it, stick around and complain. You won't change anything because people are seriously excited for this game. It's pre orders are over the top, people constantly remark about how good it is and how they can't play other games anymore. Yes they are fanboys defending Destiny and I am one of them. I'll admit that. But we're defending it because to us the goods easily outweigh the bads. We can see past things we don't like because there are so many things we do. So if you don't like this game and have cancelled your pre order, I applaud you. You realized you don't want this game anymore, and I understand how this game may not fit some people's personal preferences. But I'll be here till the launch and until these servers are shut down/tire from so much use. So guardians, stay strong, prevail over darkness, and let's eagerly await launch. Remember that there are people who legitimately like this game and see you star side. TL;DR: Stop crying about everything you don't like. Enjoy the game and have fun and don't belittle others and their opinions
