I don't find a problem with Peter Dinklage or the ghost. Not really sure why everyone is hating on him. I personally can't wait to have my Ghost from the Ghost edition. It's gonna be sweet.

I agree with you; I loved Dinklages performance. He had emotion which is something Nolan North lacks. I don't hate North but whenever I hear his lines I just yell at the Ghost to shut up. With Dinklage, I always wanted him to talk. When North asks something I sarcastically ask "What do you think? Now shut up!" Dinklage? "Yeah, keep talking. :)". He has emotion and just an awesome voice and was a useful AI. Stop comparing him to AI's in much more successful games. This is Destiny and it's not meant to make AIs as serious with more abilities and roles such as Cortana.

I actually loved his performance. Sure, it was a little flat at times, but there were other moments where it was nuanced and emotive. The line in the moon mission,
"Where's his ghost?"
, sent shivers down my spine and really helped conjure up a feeling of dread. I genuinely felt like a little floating robot was scared for its life and feeling dread about
what might have happened to its kin
.

I love his performance. I think he is a more genuine character than some of the other AI characters in other games, he isn't batshit crazy or extremely annoying. People are comparing him to Cortana, Guilty Spark, GLaDOS, and Claptrap. Personally I think hes a combination of Marvin the Paranoid Android(Hitchhiker's Guide) and Data(Star Trek TNG) with a little bit of Pilot(Farscape) mixed in. Though, he is his own character with his own personality. And we have only seen a minor fraction of what the full game is, I'm sure we will see a lot of character development. I thought Cortana was annoying for the first quarter of Halo: CE, and I'm not alone.

I really enjoyed when you would be doing an open world mission, then a random event drops and you decide to help out. Peter would say something like, "or we could do that instead, your call I guess." in a kinda passive aggressive tone. Those funny under the table remarks are why I love him as an actor.
-
because they think Peter Dinklage is only allowed to play one character...and when he does something different they freak out....personally I have never seem GoT, sooo I got no problem with an actor doing voice work...
-
I don't think it's his fault I think the problem is that they didn't allow him to have any emotion which makes sense because he's supposed to be a robot thing but bad because he sounds boring it would be cool if you could choose his emotion
-
Most of what people don't like is because the director had a big hand in his acting tone. It's very noticeable that he was made to dull his voice except in times of certainty. That's hardly the voice actors' fault

I like him. The Levitating Lanister is great.

Possible voice options in game? Buy new voices?

I love dinklebot
-
His voice acting sounds very droll. It almost sounds like he has no interest in what he is saying. I understand that he is a robot but we were spoiled by Portal and Portal 2 and now we expect our robots to have a bit of a quirkiness to them. Besides he is supposed to be an AI, not completely dead inside. That being said, I reconciled early on with his "I hate my life" voiceover and have never complained about it
-
Listening to the lines for the first time you feel interested in what he's saying and it feel like he's being stoic and epic in his delivery...Listening to the same lines for the 20th+ time...you start to feel like..."Can we speed this up a bit"? "It was interesting the first time but now it's putting me to sleep". No offence to Dinklage... He delivered the lines just fine...it's just that the content was meant to be replayed.... His delivery would have been completely fine if we only had to watch it once...just my humble opinion.

Man, Dink is cool. It's that Crucible announcer that's gotta go. Fool sound like he on assisted living in somebody's nursing home.
-
Love the Dinklebot! What's not to love? Peter Dinklage is an Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner. I'm just glad they didn't go with David Eddings. One Claptrap is enough.

Because.........
DINKLEBURG!!!!!!!!
-
I HEART DICKLEBOT! :D
-
People think he's monotone and flat. People forget he's a -blam!-ING ROBOT! He's supposed to be weird and quirky. It wasn't like he was monotone the entire time.
-
I love em. Great job by Dinklage
-
Don't -blam!- with the Imp unless you want a crossbow in the rectum.
-
Very bad voice acting.
-
It's not the character itself, it's the terrible voice acting that comes out of its speaker. I try to tell myself that it's supposed to sound lifeless because it's a computer, but in a video game that just doesn't cut it for me. That's how I feel about it anyway.
-
What? My DinkleBell is the best.
-
I can't wait to play the whole game in-general. Just 28 days left to go. And every day until than I cry myself to sleep.
