In september people will demand raids to be nerfed in countless posts.

Once everyone is able to do raids the complaint will go from "why is there no MM in raids?" To "Raids are super effing hard, I'm done with this game, nerf it bungie" Meanwhile I'll be enjoying having my ass kicked, getting better and winning. Nothing made halo 3 more enjoyable then getting destroyed, and improving. I played halo 3 last night and carried my team every game and was having fun but bored, then these level 50s came in and destroyed us and i had a blast trying to keep up with them. Raids are meant to be supremely difficult, so make friends, train, grind, okay story, multiplayer, free roam, rank up find amazing loot and try again. Have fun guys this game is going to be a blast

 • In an attempt at a compromise, I have a couple of proposals, and I would like to know what yall think about them. I think that there are a couple of options that will allow more of the player-base to experience raids while not being as detrimental to the game that many MMO experts believe that MM for raids would be. Option 1) Since there will be multiple raids in the game, hopefully 10 or more by the time Destiny 2 comes around, maybe make 1 raid for casuals. I know that "raid for casuals" may be a bit of an oxymoron, but I think it is safe to say that a large portion of the Destiny player-base will be "casuals" (as is customary with most AAA titles) and I empathize with those thousands of fellow Guardians who may not get to experience raids in their current state. I'm not saying it has to be the Vault of Glass, especially if that will be the only raid available at launch. It doesn't even have to be a raid that Bungie has already created or is in the process of creating. In response to this outcry about no MM in raids, instead of bowing to pressure and adding MM to all raids, they can start creating a raid with the intention of making it an easy-mode/beginner raid for players who can't/won't experience/complete the true raids. Option 2) Since there will be a "Hard mode" to the raids, maybe consider adding MM for the Normal mode of raids (NOT for Hard-mode) since Luke Smith himself said "I fully expect groups to beat Normal mode in the first week its available." (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=123373556&postcount=1085). This could potentially have multiple benefits: A) casuals who use MM for normal-mode raids could fall in love with raids, which could persuade them to put in the time and effort to organize a group for hard-mode raiding. B) after seeing how difficult a raid is on normal-mode, people will realize how terrible having MM for hard-mode raids would be and might shut up about it. I know many people feel that allowing MM for raids would allow casuals who aren't prepared for the world of raiding to come in and get pwned so hard that they cry "Nerf!", because they just can't stand the thought that they might not be good enough to complete a raid. Although, if options 1 and 2 were both implemented it would: a) Allow players of every caliber the satisfaction of saying "I completed a raid. :)" = Option 1 beginner raid. b) Allow players of every caliber to experience every raid (on normal mode) = Option 2 MM for normal mode. But these are merely suggestions. I myself am more than willing to put in the time and effort to organize a group for, and hopefully beat every raid without MM or easy-mode. I am simply trying to think of a compromise that would allow for the more casual Destiny players the chance to experience raids without being too detrimental to us guardians who have the good fortune/determination to experience/beat raids without MM or easy-mode. I would love to hear feedback on these suggestions, and welcome any improvements that could be made.
One Love
