The Story Behind the Warlocks and Hunters

So after doing some extensive research I was able to find and piece together the little bit of information that is available and compiled it here for anyone who cares. People have compared the Warlocks to Jedi many times. I feel as though this comparison is more than just a face value accusation of, "Having Powers." The Jedi are Guardians as well. They protect the Republic from the Sith, and have done so for thousands of years. Now, beyond the ability to use "Space Magic" or "The Force" the Jedi are also seekers of knowledge. The Warlocks are cited as, "Warlocks have long studied the Traveler, mastering some of its arcane energies. Its true purpose still remains a great mystery, but discovering truth has always driven you into the unknown. Now, our enemies are the only thing that stands between you and the lost wonders of our Golden Age." The reason I am taking so long on this comparison between Jedi and the Warlocks is simply to study the behaviors of both to explain the feud between the Warlocks and the Hunters. Not much is given to us at this time of why the two parties seem to have the desire to out-do each other at every turn, but if we look at the comparisons and the minuscule amount of lore given to us about the two classes, we can begin to formulate the reasons for the comparisons. The Hunters are the Gunslingers. No doubt that these guys possess a bit of a mean streak about them. Cowboys. One word that describes the attitude that these mean, silent killin' machines exhume. The Hunters are cited as follows, "Hunters once prowled the wilderness and wastelands, taking big risks for even bigger rewards. You're no outlaw—at least, not anymore—but making your own luck has always meant bending the rules. Your unique brand of daring and ingenuity is needed now more than ever." The biggest part of the lore that grabs me the most is the former outlaw being a very prevalent aspect of the Hunter. A non-law-abiding citizen would go against everything that the Warlock stands for. And so, to keep the comparisons in the same universe and flow, Han Solo is the Hunter's comparison. Obi-Wan was reluctant to take up board with this smuggler but in a time of war allies lurk out of even the filthiest places. Solo was all about pleasing himself and making his own luck happen; however Solo played an integral part of the story. Hunters definitely fit into the bigger picture of the Destiny Saga. The Warlocks will be the truth diggers, so to speak, as the Hunters will be aiding them along the way, the more riches they find the happier they will be. This is all of course my interpretation of events that I have seen and read about. In no way is this all concrete. Tell me what you think and let's keep the story growing as part of our Destiny. Always Remember.. Be Brave, Guardians.
