To the older Gamers out there.
Just think about how nice it's going to be playing Destiny after 9:00pm. Destiny releases right after school starts for the youngsters,so at night when all the bratty,whinny,cussing lil kiddos get sent to bed do to their parents strict bedtime schedules,we as adults can really enjoy the game in peace. After a long days work and providing for the family it will be a godsend to relax and enjoy with a beer in hand. Thank you Bungie for the awesome release date. I just created a group called The Ancient One. That way when you see your Clan name in game it will read as follows The Ancient One with your gamertag underneath. If interested please join. I would like to get a PS3/PS4 clan up and running if anyone can help. Just send me a PM. Thx

1 ReplyI remember begging my parents for mario 3 when it came out. Also if you remember games selling out and needing to wait weeks for new stock or driving around looking for a copy. They make so many copys now they dont sell out ever.

Been playing games since Atari/Intellivision/Colecovision, and won't ever stop You young whipper snappers bit on us for gaming, but we were here first and our generation set the groundwork for what you see now, and in most cases, maintain the business and infrastructure for such games.... always respect the origins....

Don't count on it (depending on time zone) You would be surprised how late kids are on.... Being EST I can play until 12 and still run into pacific kids.

I'm only 22 and I'm hyped about this. I'm in college to be a teacher but I know years later I'll be doing the same thing in my 30's/40's. Getting off of work. Reclining in my chair with a cold beer. And playing the next biggest game. It's the best stress relief. Plus yes the kids will be out if the way and off the mic Which is relaxing.

7 RepliesIt's not the "kiddos" who are usually annihilating me in PvP, it's the teenagers and people in their 20's and 30's. I can typically hold my own against people who are in their 40's, like me. :-P I think we need a server dedicated to all of us geezers out there!

Let's face it, we never really grow up... we just are able to buy the nice toys now. I thought Destiny was going to be borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring. How wrong I was... 4 Replies35 years here...I've already looked at my work schedule that week, and I'm on call. However, on call for me (I work in IT) means that I work remotely, from home. It's a sort of fail safe as in "what happens if something serious happens at the office which impacts everyone else and we need to do a disaster recovery." Well that's never happened, typically things are fairly quiet... meaning if work is quiet that week, you know what I'll be doing! Which makes my clan name (just a few RL friends so far) even better - "Working from Home." There's working and then there's "working," right? I'll definitely be interested in meeting up with some people my age in Destiny, I've done the same in past MMO's (all the way back to the original Everquest, dating myself here) and it's always been fun talking to and playing with people who have something in common.

I'm 35 and I was in the clan Geezer Gamers BTB back in the Halo 2 days. So I wasn't a geezer then just a ringer that they pulled in. Now I am a geezer and can't wait to drop all my free time into this game. Been a gamer my entire life and nothing comes even close to this games excitement. Even non gamers are asking me about this game and what's it all about. I like the name you came up with there but I'm a Xbox One guy. Not a Sony hater just had a better online experience on Xbox Live then PSN.
