Possible missable Boss. needs confirmation...NOT a ?? enemy, only in Explore Cosmodrome
I encountered a yellow healthed enemy from a beacon mission in explore cosmodrome. It's the only time thiat has happened and it's the only time a beacon mission was at all life-threatening. I got it from the beacon just to the left of where you enter the Divide (the mission voiceover mentions an ambush), which is very close to the actual fight, so if it isn't there it may spawn at a nearby beacon. It's been almost a week since it happened so my memory is a little unreliable, but the boss had the same entrance method as the Archon boss (jumping out of a large dark pipe sticking out of the wall), and I think it must have been an Archon too. I haven't been able to get that beacon mission again, nor have I found anyone mentioning it online, so either it's rare, you only get it once and/or it wasn't actually the boss/mini-boss it seemed to be. I was very startled by the fight so my observational skills weren't at their peak. Please let me know if you know what's up.
Edit - Based on the comments it is an actual Archon mini-boss other players have encountered.

Yep, got that mission once, it starts as a usual "assasination" beacon mission that takes you back into the wall near the Divide (you can also be sent to kill two other, regular mobs there) and once you get there, a boss sized Archon jumps out in a similar fashion that the one in the jump drive story mission does.

Ours was when you go back through the way you initially enter Old Russia at the beginning.. the actual fight took place in the open room at the end of all the hallways you went through that lead to the pipe that has the big fans in it...

It takes you back into the wall and an Archon can come out the wall, obviously its rare because he drops phat lootz

Is it just a normal random encounter that incidentally pops up during a mission or is it actually part of the mission?

This happened to me. It's the same as when they tell you to hunt the fallen vandal or servitor and sometimes a hive accolade or wizard. I've only gotten the archon once and that was my favorite so far!

Yes i had it to but i went back with several accounts i think it is only that mission when he comes out and i think the mission is rare
