Pulse and scout rifles need to be buffed.
Compared to the auto rifle the scout and pulse rifle are significantly lacking. i did i test with the weapons i have and two shot from and auto rifle with an attack of 39 did noticeably more damage to a fallen vandal than three shots of a pulse rifle with and attack of 49.This is incredibly noticeable in the crucible. Auto rifles inflict more damage and are effective at both short and mid-rage ,if you go head on with a pulse or scout rifle against someone with and auto rifle you lose every time even if you hit them first.Pulse and scout rifles need to be either faster shooters or get a damage increase to even things out.

Scout rifles need to have a capacity upgrade. Twenty round mag seems about right.

I seemed to be doing fine in the crucible with my pulse rifle. More often than not, I'd find myself at the top of the scoreboard. I didn't even have the best PR you could get in beta. I'm glad they're buffing them though. This means I'll just do even better. Thanks, Bungie!

Scout rifles are fine, given that you're using a good scout rifle. I had all the best weapons of all types in the beta. The Pulse Rifle was severely underwhelming. The scout rifle outperformed it in all scenarios. The PR also lacked ammo per mag, some of them only had 18 rounds and for the damage they do and considering the 3 shot burst, it's pretty pathetic for a weapon. Not to say they are useless. Many people including myself used them quite a lot as well as hand cannons. However, people will always choose the better performer and hand cannons and PRs will be phased out over time.

Scout rifles are fine. Used one pretty much my entire time in the beta and I did just fine solo queueing in PvP. Once I got used to the maps, weapons, and skills it was a consistent 1.5-3.0 with some games peaking way up there in KDR. And I'm not an amazing player by no means. Pulse Rifles and Hand Cannons are being adjusted per Bungie.

2 Replies..actually, the scout rifle is VERY powerful. It kills guardians in 4 shots anywhere, the thing is it's a long range weapon OFCOURSE in close rang the auto rifle is gonna dominate it, that's it's nice. And the pulse rifle IS being buffed.

Hand Cannons and Pulse Rifles are sorely in need of buffs. A few scout rifles are actually passably competent in PVP but ARs outclass everything else by a mile

Scout rifles have great range and should be used as rapid sniper rifles. They're perfect the way they are. Hand cannons and pulse rifles are getting buffed for the release because no one used them.

Pulse rifles, although they are burstfire rifles, need less recoil, scout rifles are perfect.

I felt they did a great job in free roam/missions but for PvP I got slaughtered unless I used my auto rifle

2 RepliesActually I agree with this, there are to many auto rifles with high damage and high fire rate. Even really good scout rifles with high ROF and damage can't hold a flame to the better auto rifles, the pulse rifles would be good if they just had less recoil.

Agreed pulse rifles have a lacking ability compared to autos. Autos have higher mags, higher rate of fire. And they get a tight bullet spread and hardly any recoils for how fast it fires. While pulse have a slower rate of fire and mag size. They kick more because of this?!? Makes no sense when the precision of autos are on point especially in crucible. How can a guardian hardly handle recoils of a pulse while the auto fires so damn fast?!

I seen a Gamescom ign interview with Bungie today and they said they are buffing the Pulse Rifles and the Hand cannons. Also they are gonna limit the interceptor (I think that's what it's called) to one in the middle of the map for both teams to fight over instead of two, plus there gonna nerf the rate of fire or lesson the damage on it.
