African American Hair styles
Am I the only Black person that would actually like to see hairstyles befitting my race? It seems that other than sports games I can never create a character that i feel represents me in game. The only options I ever have are the close shave the occational afro and dreads. All styles that I don't wear. Come on bungie give us some additional hair styles and beards. Thanks in advance.

10 RepliesBlack guy here, no ones pulling the race card, at all. But there's 7 white faces and 1 black face to choose from in this game. And there only 2 haircuts that could pass as black hair, buzzcut and dreads. All we I ask for as more hair and face structures. Not only black but Asian and Latino as well. At least one Asian and Latino. We all know this isn't really a top issue, but it would be nice.

I do understand in terms of customization and individuality. For minorities especially, race is important. There are stronger ties to their ethnicity hence validating the need for a character to look like them. At the end of the day we all want to be seen for who we are. With an open world game, I get it. I don't think it's about race but ethnicity.

1 ReplySeems to me that every human regardless of race and awoken will either be an emo, punk or skinhead in the future according to the shocking hairstyles in game. I want to see pompadours, duck tails, afros, cornrows, dreadlocks, mullets, mop tops, bouffaunts and jheri curls in game. I want my hunter to look like a badass and not like a pre-pubescent Justin Bieber when strutting the Tower. Also the male human/awoken faces all look masculine which is cool but the hairstyles don't match. I hope bungie dramatically improves customization as a whole.

As I keep saying, the character customisation options in the beta were a small example of whats going to be in the full game. Chill out people! Would be cool if you could use your camera to map your own face in the game.

It funny that someone brought this up, I'm Black myself and the only options we have is the generic low fade and spiky dreads. Most of us just resorting to the spiky dreads because it does look futuristic. But more Black Futuristic styles would be a plus.

The limitations on facial options are rather dumb tbh - not enough of a variety for people who want to try and emulate how they look irl for their Guardian. The bone structure variety is really rather lacking. I would like to see more hair options as well but I'm not as bothered by them seeing as it's the future and hairstyles have likely changed. I wasn't really expecting to see many contemporary hairdos on the Humans and Awoken.
