Community has spoken on arm bands
I've noticed that the community is coming together in a sense, and they have spoken, The warlock arm bands are simply lack luster, and seem like they were and after thought while the other 2 classes' received flashy pieces of class armor that makes them stand out that much more. I'm aware that there are legendary bonds around level 20 that have holograms on them, but even those seem somewhat boring next to the other class gear that I've seen at legendary levels. Most of the arm bands that were in the better had little to no variation and many people have spoke out and even switched classes for this reason. I've left a poll that includes some ideas that have been thrown around for a possible change. Personally I feel that extending the arm band to a full sleeve would be a nice fix, others think that we should get a shoulder piece or a hood, and even others have brought up the idea of being able to change the color of your abilities like your grenade, melee, and nova bomb.

1 ReplyIt never even crossed my mind to change the color of my nova bomb. This concept reminds me of Warframe in the sense that you could change the color of your energy to whatever color you so pleased. I think this would be a fantastic idea, not just for the Warlocks, but for all three races in general.

With you on this i got a legendery arm band and the sad thing is im feeling ashamed to wear it because it doesnt look as legendry as the hunter and titan

It's too late for Bungie to change anything now - do you realise how much modelling/concept art they'd need to work on? I'm sure the later bonds are way cooler than the ones we've seen though.

I guess as a piece of equipment that represents the class the arm band is kinda crappy... Instead I'd want either: - Full sleeve, although not sure how this would be implemented and work over the trench coats. - Gauntlet on the right hand, which they fire the nova bomb from. (Probably prefer this one)

You know there's only about a Mont and a Half till the final version comes out, from the end of beta right? They cant redesign and update all of the warlocks armbands inside that time

Warlock Coat for sure or change the hunter's cape for a scarf and let warlock get the cape. Or remove the class limitation and let everyone chose what they want to were

I think that the band should create a partical effect or aura around the warlock. Changing the band gives a differet effect or colour.

I share the community opinion, that the warlocks should get something bigger than armbands. The Titan has its Buttcape-Thingy and the Hunters Hood is damn awesome. But...armbands for real? I know. Higher lvl armbands have that Shiny effect thingy...but i believe that it is still too small a thing. A Shoulder piece would be big enough to compare to the other classes plus having its shiny effect thingy would look just that much cooler.

I think that a magic ring, in addition to, the bond would be excellent. It fits in with the 'Mage' archetype. It's also not too busy so as not to distract from the already cool trench coats. While maybe not noticeable to others it would be the most noticeable to the player him/herself in first person. The rings, being circular, could just be copies of the bonds. Removing the need for extensive redesign.

Since they are Warlocks i think it would be cool if together with the bond the Ghost gets different models. They remind me of wizard familiars so white/green bonds would be basic but also change the ghosts skin, then legendary bonds would have the hologram and change the ghost to different models/skins that would stand out. Then maybe make it so that Warlock Ghosts are always visible.

42 RepliesI'd like to wait and see how you like the Warlock class items in the final game. Some of them are outlandish. As a Warlock, myself, I love the arm bands. They're dignified. I didn't join this noble order for bling. That's how Hunters roll. That said, the debate about the art is awesome, so let it roll. Keep telling us what you think.

The idea of a shoulder ornament would be cool I guess, but in keeping with the theme of the armband, and that we got the "shock" punch thing, why not have the armband extend to the glove and make it a gauntlet? That way every time you give someone a nice punch to the face you get to behold the glory of your warlock unique item. My two cents anyways. One Epic Gauntlet! That would be cool!

I think the community is OVERACTING ! Look at The Speaker shop armbands ... some are nice and that is like just 3 of them.

I think headbands might be an incredible alternative to the armbands. It would be more of an outstanding feature compared to being on the arm.
