Thank You Bungie
Dear Bungie Team,
Thank you for what was by far one of the top ten gaming weekends of my life. This great new world you've created is near perfect in everyway! People will complain about this and that or beg for more of these or less of those but that is to be expected. The book, "To give a mouse a cookie" comes to mind.
But anyway, thank you. You've done a spectacular job at bringing the community together and making us feel part of this world. In three days I have become close friends with complete strangers, I've fought for those breaks in conversations after a long hard fought battle in the crucible, so that I could tell my side of the story. My friends and I have drooled over each others loot (which we can't use yet, you tricky devils you). And most importantly, we've sat and enjoyed the scenery. Watching the sun go up and down, and watching random people doing their own thing in a near by field.

1 ReplyNot sure about giving cookies to mice, it'll bung up their digestive system, but I once bought a homeless guy a McD meal and he complained that I hadn't got him a coffee so I can relate to your sentiment. Slightly less brown on my nose, but yes good job Bunjie. You may continue... You're welcome.

Yes I agree thank you bungie nice to see a very good beta that runs for a good amount of time you get a better judgement on how the game will feel as people settle into it.

Bump. Awesome game. I love playing it and love trying to break it (which is a lot harder this time than in the alpha). You fixed and improved a lot of the things that came out in the alpha forums, which proves to me you take your fans' input seriously (well, most of the input anyway). Thanks again!! Love the game. Can't wait for the 23rd to continue.

It's become integral to a company and a game's success nowadays to listen to community feedback on aspects of game balance, expansion, and improvement. Remember guys, there's a 10-year plan to this MMOFPS, so maybe we will see mini-games like instanced or open world speeder racing, grimmoire card games, in-depth weapon and character customization, and more in the future.

1 ReplyThis - while I would love to play with the rare weapon so finally found in the beta, I ended up just enjoying what was there and planning for all the things I'm going to soak time into in the full version from cosmetic things like a new ship to getting better at PVP since there's actually good incentive to play it.

I have to admit I wasn't sure how well I would like it. I liked first person shooters a little but always preferred third person. After playing for just a few hours I am hooked. Its more than just a first person shooter there is a great story line free roaming and its just so much more than I expected. The only problems so far have been connectivity I got some baboon and centipede error codes but after reloading they went away. Great job so far and I'm very excited to play more of this game in the near future.

There are some little things here and there that can be dealt with, however overall Destiny is AMAZING. I am not a huge fan of FPS games, however Destiny has me hooked worse than a $100/day crack habit. The game has something for everyone. An awesome storyline for the weekend warriors, a great PVP system for the hardcore junkies, strikes for people who want to test their game in epic boss fights, even free roam to fill some time solo while bored, or for the people who only have a few minutes or an hour of playtime. The research, the development, the experience from working on other major titles, even listening the feedback from each and every one of us to mold Destiny into one beautiful package is beyond words. The HUGE amount of time and money invested into Destiny was a massive gamble, however I have no doubt in my mind that it will pay off in spades. In a time where most developers are sticking to what they know and regurgitating the same content with a different look, striking out and doing something different is a very risky decision, however Bungie has hit a bulls eye with Destiny. All of the hard work, long hours, long discussions, listening to people whine, blood sweat and tears has shaped Destiny into a game that will live on through the ages. To each and every one of you involved with the creation of Destiny, from the very start to the beta and through to the finished game, Executives, programmers, design team, even the guy who sweeps the floors at night, you have my gratitude. Without each and every one of you, Destiny would not have come to be.

Seriously. It seems like there's a lot of complaining going on, which does need to happen to perfect the game, but I know I'm incredibly glad that everyone at Bungie dedicated their time and effort to creating what is genuinely the best gaming experience I've ever had. Cheers guys, keep up the good work!

Bungie, i am forever in your debt...I thoroughly enjoyed Beta, it only left me wanting more! Thanks for the awsome memories, im sure there would be more awe aspiring moments! Im a Destiny fanboy and proud of it!

2 RepliesHi i also would like to thank BUNGIE for keeping me up untill 3-4 o'clock in the morning playing this very addictive game , im a disabled person so i dont get out a lot but this the game iv been waiting for it will get me out a lot more but in a differnt way lol cya all Set 9th .
