You should make destiny local co-op a open option so my wife can play the story with me. She wants to play destiny but not without me. She don't have any Psn friends. So please put local co-op in destiny for the story missions. Spit the screen side by side not top and bottom.

Agreed :) love local co-op, it's so much fun
-
That would be awesome reminds me off the endless hours used in the halo Saga trying to beat legendary. Bungie should think of doing only if you play destiny gamer tags then you can split screen for story or PvsP
-
Agree! Do it bungie!!!
-
local co-op would be perfect! We're in kind of a dilemma. We could buy two PS3 Versions to play together but theres no chance to take screenshots or videos. Although playing with the DS4 is so much better than playing with DS3. Buying a second PS4 is not possible or reasonable. I would love to have a second PS4 to play Destiny together but spending 399€ just to play one game together isn't that wise. Theres only one thing which bothers me. The shared display :/

Edited by Bapz05: 7/21/2014 7:50:31 AMThough I think local coop is great it does have its downsides the console has to process two screens essentially doubling the power needed then you end up having to take stuff out to make it run as smooth so it ends up looking less than it is it just wouldn't be the same game
-
Yes please, I think it's my number 2 most important feature, just behind online co-op.
-
You could just friend her on PSN invite her to your fire team and have super awesome punching/stabbing/force bitch palming fallen/hive in the face/back/general body time.It really depends what you wanna do.
-
Local co-op is what made Halo the phenomenon it was. I agree whole heartedly.
-
If the technology permits it would definitely be a great addition.
-
Oh God but it would be so difficult to do. I'm sure they would love to try it but think of how hard it would be to generate a totally morphing online world for two screens. Borderlands kind of does that, but the amount of information Destiny has to process is just so much. I'd love it if they could though.

Omg agree. No split screen really has me on the verge of cancelling my pre-order. I was loving the game to be able to play split screen with my fiancee and with our 2 best friends who live up north like we did in boarderlands (Boarderlands is amazing still especially comparing Destiny to it at this point.). We are all really disappointed and I think its REDICULOUS to make people buy another system and game and subscription just to be able to play with each other. You want to sell 15 mill copies of Destiny to at least break even on your 500 MILLION budget in the game? MAKE SPLIT SCREEN AND YOULL AUTOMATICALLY GET HALF THE SALES! LISTEN TO THE FANS AS THEY PUT MONEY IN YOUR POCKET!!!!!!!!

Lets be honest this is halo.. all they did was re skin what ever halo was and put a tad more polish on it. Halo could cope with 4 players on 1 screen on a xbox 360 im sure a ps4 could handle 4 players on 1 screen. Im sure were not asking the world when they have just taken the halo engine and not done alot with it.
-
Lol my wife wants local coop too. Played all the halos together
-
I vote no

Halo did this great. I used to have a handful of friends from college come over and play through the night, and it makes up some of my best memories. Think of married couples, think of college kids in residences or with roomies, think of kids with siblings. Coop just makes sense.

Give us split screen!!! Please!
-
Agreed, agreed, agreed! My girlfriend is the same way. I got her to play the beta and she enjoyed it but was upset when I told her there was no "couch co-op". It's disappointing that more games don't support this function. I was expecting Destiny to incorporate this feature being that it was in every Halo title that they made. Maybe they were just trying to distance themselves from halo as much as possible? Never the less, I was upset when I found out that split screen play was not going to be supported in Destiny.
-
I agree. I've been playing couch co op since the Goldeneye days and still enjoy playing same screen co op to this day. This should be included and hope it is when the full game is out.

Edited by grksuperleague: 7/24/2014 2:59:05 AMAgreed I want to be on my couch with my brother and friends. I pre ordered this because I thought bungie said you would be able to play local coop split screen. Just add it in the game it can't be that hard
-
Yes Yes Yes. +1. Bump.
-
Please?
-
I agree 101 %. My wife only plays halo, thats what halo so great, because we can do it togather. We have played since the original combat evoled to present 13 years november. Come on bungie how can you do that to all the split screen fans. So it's slower, takes longer to load, we don't mind we'll wait. Don't let us down after all this wait. Eric Osbourne say all you at bungie love it. So wtf ???
-
I think that'd be pretty cool.
-
Yes please. You want to keep my fiance happy? Giveth us coop. Co-op equals a happy gamer marriage.
-
I 100% agree, my wife wants to play, but it's not realistic to buy another tv, ps4, and game just so we can play together. There is no downside to this. Those who want to use it can. Those who voted no on here make no sense because it's not like you would even notice it, it's not like you're forced to split your screen. Too many games now days have no local co-op, it sucks! Bungie rules! All hail!
