I don't know if anyone has brought this up. I wasn't lucky enough to play the alpha but have done pretty extensive research in order to prepare for beta and release. This being said I have literally lost all interest in other games. I can't seem to get into anything as I am just beyond excited for destiny, the concept the story, the unique play modes. I just can't wait. I decided to take this time to enjoy a bit of real life and spend time with the gf/family before diving head first into destiny! Anyone else feeling the interest loss and or urge to take a game break before release?

I feel an extreme loss in interest in other games. I have to play 3-4 different games a day to be entertained.
-
The only games I can play at this point are Pokemon or Halo Reach. The games I am looking forward to I am simply not actually excited about anymore besides Destiny. This is all with me having NOT even gotten to play the Alpha. I am sure to have an almost entirely empty existence once the Beta has come and gone.
-
It's terrible. Usually I play games in my free time, but none of them satisfy me after destiny. The road to beta is going to be long
-
Warframe is fun, but won't last long I don't think

Been feeling like this for a few years but I'm 42. Most games don't grab my attention anymore. Burned out on every fps. Really liked infamous second son - most fun I've had in a few years but it was short. Got the plat in about a week. Played the destiny alpha, it got my attention and renewed my interest in fps.

I am the same as you except each passing day is mocking me when the beta is around the corner teasing me XD

Edited by DEZARATH: 6/30/2014 1:32:16 AMI played the Alpha. I found myself watching one of the my Destiny videos I captured on my PS4 this morning. I miss my Exo Titan. I found it very hard to get back into the latest game I was spending a lot of time in and that was Warframe. Well I guess somebody took pity on me and I unlocked two cores that allow you to upgrade guns and a third core for a frame. I finally got my hands on a rifle called the Soma and that is one fun weapon. Plus I finally found a super rare Stance mod for my Nikana (katana) and that made me and three other guys really happy. You have no idea how rare that one is for players to find, the minute I found it and marked it I snapped on my mic and told them. Three guys were screaming in there mics in joy and celebrating. It was a hilarious run for the extraction. Needless say I am excited for the beta, but I'm dreading the aftermath of the day it ends and all games just become pointless again. The only games that I feel can stave off Destiny are NO MAN'S SKY and EVOLVE for me. I'll keep playing Warframe, but I feel that is simply me just fooling myself with a false sense of hope. Those Destiny skies, armors, and weapons beckon.

Couldnt agree more i played alpha and nothing sense
-
I have no interest in playing any other game until I finally boot into the Destiny 'verse. When that happens... Ooh, baby. Angels will weep, demons will shriek, the gods will hide their faces, and I'll get literally SO many babes.
-
I replayed though the deadpool game, wolfenstien, and am utterly bored with GTA V.
-
I think it rekindled my interest in StarBound. Its a pretty sweet game.
-
I bought a few days back Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition from steam with 5€, and that will keep me busy before beta. But yeah, I also lost interest in my existing games, so I just had to het something new to keep me interested :D
-
Yeah it's like trying to watch Star Trek after watching Star Wars......SHOTS FIRED
-
Yeah man, I feel exactly the same way. I basically forced myself to beat Watch Dogs and now I'm forcing myself to play other games that I have absolutely no interest in after playing the Alpha. I'm basically in video game limbo until Destiny comes out. Guess I'll go see what's outside.

I feel u bro

Edited by What Up Essay: 6/29/2014 10:28:00 PMIm feeling the same. Being short on cash also helps.
-
I feel you.
-
You, like many other people including myself, are suffering from the symptoms of destiny deprivation
-
To be honest I've lost all of my interest in Destiny. I'm even considering cancelling my preorder.
-
I didn't get to play the alpha but watching all the videos I feel the same nothing compares to destiny I've been playing skyrim to past the time but its not the same.
-
Not exactly the same, but close: basically I've lost interest in gaming in general apart from Destiny and the odd game. They all seem the same to me, particularly fps. So I very much stopped playing out of boredom.
-
Nope. Alpha wasn't that enjoyable so gamewise really looking forward to the Last of Us. Beta is only to decided if I drop my preorder or not. Co op gameplay for alpha was very monotonous with lack of players anyway in the game. No interest in PVP as there are lot better games out there for PVP. Been having some fun playing some of the independent games on the PS4 while I wait for Last of Us.

I've been playing EVE Online for 6 years and I'll continue to. :)

I feel the same way, I try going back to DCUO but it isn't the same anymore.
