Not all threads are created equally. Some have the poor misfortune of being titled "Religious politics and I'm racist lol #yoloswag", or "I hate transsexual eskimo hookers. What kind of eskimo hookers do you hate?". Unfortunately, these are also the threads that get the most attention, and when threads about politically religious, bigotted, nomadic prostitutes of the transsexual persuasion start to fill up, the individual posts start to get ignored.
So, Flood, how many posts does a thread need to have before you consider it too cluttered or over-populated to post in?
-
Where can i find these eskimo hookers you are speaking of?
-
I haven't noticed a correlation between high post threads and people ignoring my comments, to be honest. So it doesn't matter either way to me.
-
Not very many, to be honest. With this new format I feel like a lot of posts go unseen and opinions unheard. Once a thread gets going a bunch of mini discussions happen inside of the thread and any new responses typically go unnoticed. People only come back to the thread when they are notified someone responded to them.

Never. If I'm bothered I'll share my opinion.
-
Once it hits the 100 post mark unless I've been following every single post in the thread.

I have no limit

I post in any thread that sounds interesting. Post count is not something I care too much about.
-
I do tend to overlook a lot of the threads with hundreds of replies, but as you said most of the time its the threads with controversial topics that receive the most attention and I generally wouldn't have responded anyway.
-
I feel like I am obligated to share my wisdom with the ignorant masses. All jokes asides, I try not to contribute to these abominations, but even the best of us can get dragged in.
-
I used to ignore larger threads, but now that the format sucks I know older opinions will be ignored in favor of newer ones so I'm less inclined to not post in larger threads... In some cases, if you want to be heard, you actually have to wait for replies to come in so yours won't get buried too fast.

One of my obvious bait threads got a lot, I think it was >200 IIRC.
