Thoughts on ESO?

I haven't played it, nor have I researched it much. A couple of my friends play, but I have no interest paying $15/month at this point... Thoughts on the game?

Around here all you're going to hear is that it's a terrible game and that everyone who buys it needs to commit suicide due to the fact that the majority of the of the people here are underage and can't afford to play a subscription based MMO. Oh and you'll also get spammed with an Angry Joe video where he's pretty much wrong or is grossly misrepresenting most of the stuff he has issues with (cause rage brings in dat advertising money baby). Pretty much everywhere else you'll hear that while it may be a good MMO, it's not a good TES game. So if you're an MMO fan that likes TES it may be worth a shot at some time. However if you're a TES fan that isn't to interested in MMOs I'd say wait for some sort of free trial before you give it a try.

  • Angry Joe's review on the game sums up my feelings. Not a game I'd care t play honestly. I'm gunna play Skyrim on pc modded and wait for Elder Scrolls Vi.

Was considering getting it for a while there. Ended up trying the FFXIV beta and fell in love with that game instead. ESO just seems a little too broken and money grabby to warrant $60 + $15/month. That and I have little trust that Zenimax isn't just taking early adopters money and planning to relaunch as f2p.
