As of now, you can be on a squad of one (by yourself) up to three players so if you want it to just be you and one or two other players, you can. I don't think you can have any more than three people in one fire team, though. There's speculation based off of a screenshot that two fire teams can link up and form a six-man squad but that's probably just for public events.
