Let's discuss raids and strikes.

What do you guys think strikes and raids will be like? If you got nothing, what do you hope they will be? I hope strikes are just small re-playable missions that you go and play through that give you a small reward, kind of like Halo 4's spartan ops where you're given a mission and go do it. However, I hope that you're given an overall task such as "find a ____" or "kill ___ boss", and you have to go out into the world to actually find one yourself and do it however you want. Maybe a couple hints at where you can go. No linear hold-my-hand and show me everything I need to do. I hope raids will just be a massive-scale invasions of a location, and you have to lay waste to the minions of the Darkness and reclaim their cities and towns in the name of The Last City. Enemy numbers scale with how many people you have playing in the raid, matchmaking enabled. I think that'd be absolutely awesome. What about you guys?

  • I'm really hoping raids require the amount of teamwork I saw back when playing WoW. I want a healing focused warlock to be mandatory. I want every player to have a specific role to fill, and if they fail at their role, the entire party will die. Raids are the only thing I miss about WoW, and I'm really hoping Destiny will fill that want of mine. Without having to do all the other crap MMO's require in order to raid. Mainly the reputation grinds (which is what made me quit) and needing to spend 40+ hours a week playing to be of any use to your guild.
