World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition will launch worldwide on February 12, Wargaming has announced.
The console edition of the massively successful tank battler--the PC version is said to have raked in revenue of $372 million last year--will only be free-to-play for users with an Xbox Live Gold account. Those without Xbox Live Gold will be able to access a 7-day trial of the title.
The Xbox 360 version of the title is being handled by Wargaming West, which operated as F.E.A.R. 3 and Fracture developer Day One Studios until the company was acquired by Wargaming in 2013.
At launch, Wargaming says World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition will feature over 100 tanks from the US, Germany, and the UK. The company says it plans to add new tanks and other nations into the game in the future.
Looks like a sweet game, it also gives a 7-day trial if you don't have Live

.... well this is old news.

Eh, I didn't really like the PC version. It's kind of boring. World of Warplanes is better.

Free bump

Edited by Vampire Nox: 2/6/2014 1:27:07 PMI already have it and have been playing it for a while. I was part of the Beta (the whole damn thing... game was supposed to launch in Summer of 2013...), so we've been playing the final version for a couple of weeks now. It's pretty sweet, free to DL with LIVE, and it let's your inner 8-year old (who has always wanted to blow shit up with a tank) run free and laugh maniacally. I loves my German tanks (Ich komme aus Deutschland), and my Panzer IV is lighting people up regularly. :D That said, there is a pretty decent level of skill necessary for the game. Teamwork is a necessity as running out in front or abandoning your team gets you nothing but hatred from your teammates as they get wasted because the other team is actually working together. Smart tactics will win over even a superior force in this game. It's entirely multiplayer (as it's the most literal translation of the F2P MMO-Tank Sim on the PC, and the teams are 15 vs. 15. But it's definitely fun, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's ever wanted to go on a rampage in a tank. :D

I was apart of the beta, didn't really like it.

I was in the beta I enjoy it but is would like a game mode were you RESPAWN it's kind.if annoying to die ans wait for the end of the round or use a different tank in a differential game but the 360 version shows promise

Edited by TigerTitan: 2/6/2014 7:14:29 PMI feel bad for the creator though. He's sad because the game isn't truly free-to-play without a Gold membership. Free-to-play games are actually free-to-play on the PS4 (I'm not sure about PS3) so he should've gone with Sony. Anyways, I've been playing it on Xbox 360 and PC. It's a pretty fun game when there aren't OP players running around.

Cool, I might try this out.

Sweet, another free to play game. I already signed up for the Warface Beta, definitely going to sink a few enjoyable hours into each game.
