In reality we only spend around 20% on defense. We actually spend more on Social Security. But this post is just to show how incredible the international response has been to Hurricane Haiyan.. I'm not sure about other countries, but this is potentially billions of dollars in costs of operating those ships for the U.S. It's a little disappointing to see China only helping with one ship, when they're so close to the Philippines, have a huge military, and are the second most powerful economy in the world.

China's still mad about WWII.

B: Not a single f**k to give about disaster victims in other countries.

They just had some bombs spare and thought they would drop them on the Philippines.

Yes, because the US totally has 100% altruistic intentions and this could in no way have anything to do with China.

It's because the U.S. tries to be the world police, when we shouldn't. That's literally what the U.N. Was created for. Let them be the world police and the U.S. can stop helping so much.

Like China would ever give a shit about anyone that isn't China.
-
Yeah, you spend it all on offense, amirite? Seriously though, I wouldn't expect China to help anyone much and at least people are bothering to send support. that's the important thing I guess.
-
China don't care about nothing. US tries to be everyone's friend.

Edited by Cam: 11/30/2013 5:16:04 PMIt's funny how minuscule we are to the universe. our problems are so petty and most refuse to accept reality. The answers are simple.

lol New Zealand and Sweden are like, "Don't worry guys, we will be sending one plane each to provide assistance, there is no need to panic."

Go Australia!

The Chinese snub is most likely their way of flipping off the Philippines due to their stiffing of chinese territorial claims over the South china sea.
