Tell me straightforward. Do you look forward to your later years?

Title is obviously the question. I'd also like to ask a few more questions on the general subject. Why you look forward to it, or why not? If you don't look forward to it, what are going to do about it. Are your actions going to take place now, or later if you're doing something about it? What are your hopes for your later years? If you're already at a point that you'd consider to be your later years, are you enjoying it?

  • Definitely. More freedoms and whatnot, and taking care of myself. Sure there will be challenges for me to tackle, but I'll get through them.

I would say so, yes. One major difference between my younger years, and my adult life is the time-frame in which I accomplish goals. As I get older, my goals(and the time it takes to reach them) grow quite a bit. In high school, it was difficult to plan something beyond a couple of months. Perhaps a year. Now, my plans stretch out to 5, 10, or even 15 years down the line.

  • A bit of yes, a bit of no. I love the freedom that I have right now. I don't have as many responsibilities as I will when I'm older, I don't have to worry about bringing in enough money for food, and I have two people that will always have my back (my parents). On the other hand, I do look forward to the time when I control my own life. The challenges that await me are exciting. I also look forward to having a family, raising kids, and all that. Growing up is bittersweet.

  • Yes and no. If I could, I would honestly spend the rest of my life in high school with the same people around me for the rest of my life. But I'm too young to say things like that, I'm yet to experience what most people consider the best part of their life to be.
