Bradley Manning found guilty of espionage. Not guilty of aiding the enemy.

How do you feel about this? I can't say I'm surprised although I don't agree with it. I wish we had more Americans like him. He sacrificed himself to let us know what was going on and yet I don't believe he's being appreciated for doing so. He was painted as a traitor when I believe he is more of a true American than those throwing out these words. The verdict will be handed down tomorrow and he will most likely spend the rest of his life in prison regardless of his acquittal on the more serious charge of aiding the enemy.

  • How can you be found guilty of espionage but not aiding the enemy? Don't they kind of go together?

    • he was a majorly depressed, bipolar douche with Gender Identity Issues who stole classified(by S.O.P., not for content) Government Reports of mostly no major consequences to get back at the big mean ol goberment who had DADT. reports that could have leaked strategic info like troop positions and numbers, killing his fellow soldiers but mostly didn't, luckily. by very definition of what he did, he was guilty of espionage(theft of classified documents, reveal of classified info) he wasn't some hero, he didn't really reveal anything major. he betrayed his fellow soldiers. because he was mentally unsound and threw a temper-tantrum. he should not be celebrated by a hero, that attitude that the OP gives off. and on the other traitor, snowden only revealed that they no longer needed permission to backdoor into websites and did it automatically, the programs were already public, but just mostly forgotten about by the MSM. he's the same.

    • People who whistleblow on corporations are protected under law. People who whistleblow on the government are committing a major crime. Logic.

      • Technically what he did matches the crime. Whether we agree with the charges is irrelevant.
