-Books: Fantasy
-Games: Tie
-Movies: Sci-Fi overall (but LOTR are my all time favourite movies)
-TV Shows: Fantasy
-
I like both but prefer Sci-Fi just a little bit more
-
Fantasy for all of the above.
-
Is all an acceptable answer?
-
Books: Fantasy Games: Tie Movies: Sci-Fi TV Shows: Sci-Fi
-
Sci-fi for all Although I do read a lot of fantasy books.
-
Fantasy for all of them, except for Movies where I'd say both; because Alien (And all it's related movies.). That's the only Sci Fi franchise I'm a huge fan of though, and it's relatively low Sci Fi, which I much prefer because higher Sci Fi is usually really silly in my opinion (Think Warhammer 40k..). And I'm not half the Halo fan I used to be, so that isn't influencing my choices.
-
Books- Fantasy (Redwall series is amazing) Games- Both (Skyrim/Fallout, both amazing) Movies- Sci-fi (Star Wars will always win, and you've got Serenity for Christ's sake!) TV Shows- Sci-fi (Firefly, what else is there to say?), with the exception of Game of Thrones, though I have yet to watch it myself.
-
I honestly couldn't choose.
-
Books: historical fiction ≈ sci-fi > fantasy Games: sci-fi > fantasy Movies: sci-fi > fantasy TV: hmm... Well, Supernatural is my favourite TV show, but still - sci-fi > fantasy.
-
Books: both Games: both Movies: sci-fi T.V: sci-fi.

Edited by Uberdawg: 7/2/2013 1:22:26 PM-Books - To be fair I haven't read a ton of Sci-Fi whereas I've read a decent bit of fantasy. Going with fantasy here but I'd appreciate recommendations on what the best SF stuff is so I can have a look some time. -Games - I'm giving a solid edge to fantasy. Yes, SF has some legitimate bruisers, Halo not the least of them. But fantasy still got dis. -Movies - Seems like one awesome trilogy versus abundant smaller good movies. (Star Wars is massive of course but frankly it is not on LOTR's quality level.) I think Sci-Fi takes this one simply because I can't recall LOTR having much or any backup. -TV shows - Again, it seems to be one big batter for fantasy (Game of Thrones) versus a bunch of SF fare like Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, etc. I think I give another slight edge to SF here. Though TV generally sucks. Overall I'm a fantasy guy.

Books: Sci-Fi (the bulk of fantasy is cheesy, uninspired sword and sorcery dreck) Games: Tie Movies: Scif-Fi TV: Uhm, Star Trek TNG and Red Dwarf I guess.
-
I prefer Sci-Fi in every category, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy some good fantasy. Discworld is one of my favourite series and it is fantasy.
-
I prefer sci-fi in general, though my favorite book series (which should be bloody obvious by now) is fantasy-based.
