Gaming Laptop Recommendations?

Hey Bungie.next. So I'm looking to get a gaming laptop (no room for a desktop) and I was wondering which ones you folks would recommend? Try to keep it relatively cheap if you can please. Thanks for any suggestions.

      • if your worried size of a desktop, get a alienware x51. it's pretty much the size of a console and it probably more reliable than a laptop. goes from £599 to £1189

      • Check Asus, I friend of mine got one and wasn't a bad deal, can't remember price. My buddy bought an alienware last summer when there was a $500 coupon. so he got a $1600 system for $1100. But why do you not have enough room for a desktop? I have a gaming laptop. A Gateway FX(about $1200-$1300). I wanted a laptop since I was going to college when I got it. Its almost 4 years old. As of right now I wish I would have gotten a desktop. Taking a gaming laptop to class really won't happen since they are usually much larger. I would strongly recommend going for a desktop. You could make a $700 desktop that would blow $2000 laptops out of the water. Plus they are easily upgradable in the future. My big issue with my laptop is that it gets too hot and that really starts to hurt the system.

I am using 2 laptops at work one for gaming one for work. I would say wait few more months until Christmas if you want to save some money. Safe bet look for laptops with 780m or 680m in "SLI" if you want to be sure you will run everything on highest settings for next 2-3 years. Nvidia 780m just came out and SLI is a bit pricy but 2x 770m or 680m should be a bit cheaper. If you just want it to run Destiny, Call of Duty or other MMO games you can get single GPU configuration like 7970m or 680m it will still run everything for next 2 years on medium/high in 1080p It's a bit costly if you have tight budget. It cost me almost 1400£ almost 2 years ago for i7 2720qm (2.2) 16gb DDR3 HyperX 1600mHz ATI 7970m 2 GB (DX 11.1) (17.3 screen) SSD Sandisk Extreme 120 GB 500 GB (7200prm) I dont really use it anymore, just for black ops 2 sometimes. If you would live in uk i could sell you for ok price. btw I bought it from: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/
