so this game is supposed to have a 10 yr life span....anybody heard if they plan on doing graphic updates along the way?
-
Well I would think that if Destiny 2,3,and 4 all came on disks, that there would be graphics upgrades too.
-
If they are releasing a hard copy of the game for each new installment. I say that there might. The game is always online and communicating with the severs, so it should just be a content patch of files. I wouldn't mind if you couldn't patch until you bought the next game, which would just be a major expansion if the already existing universe. Like a new galaxy. So old player just keep the old graphics and universe, while new players get new graphics and a new universe to explore.

-
I think they meant the series, rather than just Destiny 1 (I say Destiny 1 because there are going to be multiple titles).
-
Son, I don't even know when the release date is.
-
I like Destiny's graphics as how they were in the reveal. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
-
Leave the graphics alone, focus on gameplay instead
-
You care that much about graphics?

Edited by CrazzySnipe55: 6/23/2013 10:56:54 PMAssuming you mean the improvement of graphics and not the amplification of nudity and gore over time, I'd say there's a decent chance they'll improve. According to the original Activision/Bungie contract, the first sequel is set to come out on the PC which means that the graphics will be improved upon tremendously compared to the PS4/XBone (assuming it does't come out on the PC for "Destiny 1"). Additionally, as we've seen with the PS3, the graphics capable of being generated by developers improves towards the end of the lifetime of a console as those developers become more familiar with the hardware and software they're dealing with, so even if, for some reason, the game never makes it to the PC, there's a considerable chance that we'll see an improvement in graphics even by the first Expansion Pack ("Comet 1").

Dont worry about it, haha

Doubt it; how would that even work?
