Alright so I for the whole year have been one of four co-captians on my schools varsity wrestling team. I worked very hard all year- I was the only wrestler on the whole team to never miss a single practice. I did weight training every damn day of the summer along with my offseason wrestling to prepare myself for the season. It's my senior year and I gave my 100% effort. Out of the 3 other co-captains, I was the second best by a wide margin, well above the other two guys, and not too far behind the other guy (who is freakishly good. He's a 2X all American and was recruited full ride to A D-1 university. The best wrestler ever fielded from our league) I trained extra after school with my partner (who wasn't even a co-captain) every single day and we pushed each other to the next level. At the end of the year, me and my partner both won the San Diego Section Division One Championships (CIF). We were our schools second and third CIF champions EVER, us only below the superhuman co-captain I mentioned earlier. I ended my season with a really solid record (I think it was 40-9 idk), and got the maximum number of points physically possible for all of our team matches/duals. I was helpful and positive with the younger guys and the second most successful wrestler. Out of the four co captains, its tradition to pick two official captains at the banquet. I was expected to get it. I always respected the coach, did what he ordered, never missed practice, and outperformed the others. Imagine my shock then, when the coach chooses THREE (3!) captains and leaves me out. There is literally no advantage they had over me. I dedicated my summer to that shit. I gave up everything. WTF
