explination for weak promethian weapons here *spoillers*
I was always thinking these promethians are just going to wipe the floor with MC in the campaign with their light weapons. I really think ALL the light weapons should've been hitscan, cause it's LIGHT used as ammunition for crying out loud!
But I think there wasn't such a gap in weaponry as compared to UNSC was because the humans are ready to take the mantle now. They caught up to the forunners. I mean a simple nuke took out a WHOLE promethian ship damn it!But the hardlight shielding around MC could resist the nuke, so maybe if diadact was still controlling the ship and not fall off it like a noob, the ship would've survived lol.
So yeah humanity caught up and we can now fight on even terms in space and on land. Am I just NOW figuring this out or was this explained somewhere in the extended universe and I just missed it or something?

I agree that we have only seen a little of what they could do. For instance just look at the war sphinxes that the forerunners had. They were supposed to be able to sweep continents and level entire cities. I feel as though if they still had those we would be in a world of trouble haha.
