Bungie's Next Big Thing at VGAs?

I think Bungie will show a reveal trailer for their Next Big Thing at the VGAs on December 7. If the Activision/Bungie contract released earlier this year is to be believed, then Bungie's next game will release next year, and I would assume it will be released in the fall. That's less than a year away. I don't think we'll get a ton of details before the year ends (as much of the marketing blitz will fall into 2013) but I think we will get a reveal trailer for the game before 2012 ends. It may even be a teaser without any in-game footage like Bungie has released in the past (i.e. ODST and Reach). It seems like it is getting close to being in a publicly showable form. There have been plenty of tweets and references to Bungie playtesting the game. Also, after DeeJ posted this on Friday,
This has been an exciting week behind the opaque curtain that shrouds our secrets, and that has kept us from building intellectual bear traps. I have exciting plans for the weeks to come.
I think we are just weeks away from getting our first glimpse of the game. With the VGAs being a showcase where a lot of big games have been shown in the past (Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, etc.), and only about four weeks away, I think this may be it. What do you think?
