Soon (TM). I expect we will see something either late this year or early next. This is assuming that, as is their practice, Bungie is going to do a public beta, which cannot be started much later than May or June for them to actually have time to change something. Of course, they could be doing a lightning release where one day they just say "Here's the beta to our new game and 10,000 codes. First come; first served." I think perhaps they are trying not to step on 343i's toes by announcing their next big time right before or right after the release of Halo 4.
