Bioware certainly has been busy. This seems like a nice addition to the multiplayer suite. Though, in all honestly it isn't exactly "free." Its more than likely being financed by people who decide to spend real life money on the in-game items via the in-game store front. Its essentially a smart "free-to play" model and we'll likely see it replicated in future titles and not solely from Bioware/EA.
