Bungie Weekly Update
Very, very short Weekly Update today, but some good news about failed Halo 2 map downloads, at the very least.

u don't need to download them.. or atleast u shouldn't have to pay for them because we already pay for xbox live and should have all the features of xbox live on every game.... otherwise isn't that against the law since they're breaking xbl's rules? Maps should be free if they are required...

I waited 'til Monday too - In fact, it didn't work this morning either. (It's Tuesday now.) Is it really fixed???

Well, it's Tuesday and I can't download the content. If this has anything to do with paying the half-retarded $4.00 for 2 measly Maps, I think I'll wait for Halo3. Don't get me wrong, I love Halo2, but to spend four dollars for 2 maps...That's ridiculous. As if we don't spend enough... Xbox 360- $400 Halo2- $30 Wireless Adapter- $98 13 Month Gold Membership- $40 That's tons of money to spend on a d**n game consle in the first place, let alone paying for 2...yes TWO maps. And besides, you can't tell me times are tough, Halo3 is months away from the first release!

Bungie is the BEST. They most likely are working hard at doing the reset and putting the maps into matchmaking. Bungie works hard to please everyone, but most people seem to be arrogant and whine about petty stuff. It's not like the stats are going to get anybody a prize. Patience is a Virtue. :)

some1 said earlier tell them how the maps are in matchmaking...well nobody knows cuz the ranks havent been reset yet and they arent in matchmaking yet. there has been no update on bungie in awhile and they also said that this tuesday...aka today was going to be the day for the reset of stats and new maps...WTF!?

7 days of trying to download these levels. My hatred for bungie grows daily. BTW Bungie, YOU Sellout Blam! Blam! I gave you the last decade of my life - exclusive to halo, try to get it together for those of us whose life passed them by while they were playing LO! I need my Hang em. Give it to me!

[/quote] Premium Purchases FIX!!! Like many, I couldn't enter the last 4 digits of my credit card on my Original XBox's Dashboard 'cause I upgraded to a 360 (got technical difficulties error). The problem is...I'm not sure how I fixed it. But I can tell ya all that I did and didn't do. I didn't have any family settings enabled to start with so I couldn't hit the Disable Family Settings button (greyed out). I didn't add no 2nd credit card er mess with any colors...silver...gold...poop brown...no, no. All I think I did was restrict all family setting, like ONLY Allow G-Rated TV 'n everything (I created a 2nd gamer profile--no credit card er nothin'--to do this, but I don't think that's necessary)...save settings, restart the 360 (don't think the restart was necessary either, but couldn't hurt), AAAHHH, now the Disable Family Settings button isn't greyed out...HIT IT!!!! (I deleted the new gamer profile just before this step and signed back into my regular gamer profile, but again, I don't think that 2nd gamer profile is necessary) I think this is the only way in a 360 to allow Premium Purchases. Save settings, restart (again, don't think restart is necessary). No more premium purchases error on either my 360 or my xbox (careful...they'll charge ya twice)...it was just the installation error after that...which is server congestion...just keep trying. If you're getting purchase error...I've got nothing for ya...try using a different credit card. If you never had a 360 and get the technical difficulties error when entering the last 4 digits of your credit card in the XBox Dashboard...well...I think you're screwed...either 1-800-4MY-XBOX or get your account onto a friend's 360 temporarily to try this.

So, the new maps were supposed to be implemented into the playlists today as well as the ranks reset. Any word on this guys? Also, from what I have heard, the new Zanzy looks pretty effin sweet.. can't wait to play the H3 beta! Hopefully they suprise us and throw a little taste of that map in too!

Okay I am pissed off. Bungie says that everyone should have the maps by Monday, well I tried it yesterday and at 7am (PST) today, still the same "content failed, please contact xbox.com" or something. Is this problem going to be actually fixed?

After trying and trying and trying, I finally get the maps on my Original Xbox and I haven't seen them once in matchmaking. Anytime, I assume, it looks like I'll be going into a game with the new maps I get a message that I don't have the maps and kicks me out. WTH! The maps are definitely on my box. I can set up a game and everything. I ran around both maps for awhile to get familiar with them before I tried matchmaking. This sucks! Any help would be awesome.

Yay! No more premuim errors on my account! I was able to download the new maps on my old Xbox console without issue, Emptytears47a.

Has anyone with a regular xbox have the maps? I have only seen 360 owners talking about there problems and i'm still using my xbox 1 for this download.

Did the cache reset long ago to no avail. Come Monday, and Tuesday, everything remains the same; an installation error. Should of put them on the Marketplace for 360 owners. Dunno if that would have made a difference, but at least I wouldn't have to point a single finger at you guys. I could have donated that $4 to Darfur or something. Taco Bell sounds good too.
