Worst novels you've been forced to read for school?

I think I have a tie between Native Son and The Great Gatsby. I swear if it wasn't for Sparknotes and Google I would've failed my Literature classes. I never even read a single chapter of any of those novels.

[/quote]Well it was a Shakespearean tragedy. That I understand. However, what I was trying to say that I didn't care about the death of those two. IMO they were whiny and angsty teens who thought they were in love. The only real tragedy I thought was the two families who seemingly fought for no reason at all. In short, yes it was a tragedy. However, I just didn't care about their deaths because I felt they were so amazingly stupid.
