Bushfire season always sucks, it's a horrible start to the new year. Tasmania has been hit bad already, with thousands of people evacuating their homes and towns in order to save their lives, and now NSW is feeling the heat wave as well. Temperatures of 40+ degrees C (100+ F) caused the fire danger to reach the level 'Catastrophic', the worst possible danger level.
Just thought you guys should know. Discuss bushfires.

It's pretty bad, I was actually driving through Nowra on the way back from Lightning Ridge (touring, no other excuse to be driving that far) a couple of days ago and it was in the mid 40's. Lucky to get out of there when I did, when police and the fire brigade advise you to stay because leaving might be dangerous, then there is the potential for things to get out of control.
