Now I for one am incredibly excited for Aliens: Colonial Marines. The game looks fantastic and looks to be the sequel that Aliens deserved.
But, I did notice something when looking up this game. I noticed that none of the Alien games so far have ever served as a "re imagining" of the original Alien film. Why hasn't a game been made where you are someone who is a Colonial Marine and you are sent to investigate a ship or something that has lost contact with other people. But the catch is, is that there is only one Alien. There is just you and the Alien, like Ripley at the end of the first film. Perhaps you go through the game discovering audio logs and CCTV footage of what occurred. I think this would make a great game, or even just an expansion pack for the upcoming game by Gearbox.
TLDR: Should they make an Alien game were it is just you and the Alien. It could take place on a ship and you are being hunted by the Xenomorph.
Posted by: MC LOL88 So a FPS where you don't shoot things till the very end?
You could have brief encounters with the Alien, but it wouldn't necessarily be a FPS. More of a survival horror game. [Edited on 12.11.2012 10:12 PM PST]
