  • You cannot create hyperlinks with "https" links. Simply remove the "s" from "https" and you're good to go :-) [url=http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=59325140 ]this[/url] [url]http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=59325140 [/url] [Edited on 01.05.2013 5:32 PM PST]

Is it just the result of some oversight by the devs, was it on purpose because of some security reason, etc.? Achronos?

Achronos?[/quote] Probably because its HTTP secure, maybe something to do with the encrypting of the information and that Bungie.net forums don't have the authentification privileges to http refer, or maybe it was a development oversite who knows [Edited on 01.05.2013 5:59 PM PST]

If memory serves the url tag used to support a number of functions, including mailto for some reason. That all disappeared when the inputs were limited in the wake of The Infamous Backwards Character Incident of 2007* (Or How Not To Handle Your Inputs), and https was probably just neglected, as frankly it wasn't very popular back then. It's only in the past 2 years that https has seen use as standard. *NB: May not have actually been 2007, nor infamous. Was definitely backwards.
