Destiny Reveal Date
So, with all of the uproar about no Destiny reveal at the VGA's (I'm happier that it happened this way, if they would have revealed their game alongside that smut I would've cried, a lot.) when do YOU (yes, you. Not me, not the first poster, YOU. YOU!) think that we'll see a reveal!

I'm thinking we might be seeing a February cover for Destiny from GameInformer, which means they would be doing some lead up stuff on the site in January. However, I can't see that being where they reveal it... So, there must be something before then...? Unless it's the March cover. I'm just saying most big games have GameInformer covers and [url=http://www.gameinformer.com/mag/haloreach.aspx]Reach's[/url] was Febuary.

Well, I'm disappointed, but also very confused that Destiny wasn't announced at the VGAs. When you take previous releases of Bungie in fall as a reference Destiny will come out in ca. 10 months so less than a year from now. And it hasn't even been officially announced yet. Do you know a triple-A game that was announced less then a year before it's release? I can't think of any. I'm starting to doubt that Destiny's release will be fall 2013. I think it will be announced at E3 2013 and come out some time in 2014. [Edited on 12.12.2012 8:02 AM PST]

My new personal consensus is this. We'll see a Destiny reveal alongside a nextbox (-blam!- you I'm using nextbox, not 720) reveal at E3. They'll launch together as a partnership sort of thing. I know the contract says it'll be for 360 as well but, I just seem to doubt that more and more as leaks for both Destiny and the nextbox start to pop up. Although the nextbox stuff is just rumors, mainly. But it's still something.

We were teasing him after a mailsack about his wording when it came to "It would be a shame if the world were to end before you got a chance to see our next game", and he was very hasty to clarify that it wasn't what he meant :)[/quote] Or maybe he was trying to cover himself because he almost spoiled the surprise.

There is no way a AAA game, as Destiny will be, will only have a 4 month marketing span when it is an entirely new universe. Doesn't Activision have a media showing in February? It's possible Bungie will show off something there to draw hype, with little bits of information between then and a big blowout at E3.[/quote] Activision has a conference call in the beginning of February but it is not a show, unless they change it this year. The past two years they have spoken briefly about Bungie's new game development, but I would bet this year the game reveal should be before that conference call. Perhaps this game will be revealed new year's day...

However, during this summer, someone asked Bungie on twitter when we will see their new game for the first time and they said the same "see you starside in 2013" quote. So this leads many to believe their new game reveal will be next year like they had said. I pointed this out in a separate threads not too long ago and many people were getting mad at me because this was old news, well apparently not all know about this, so there to you guys.
