Why are girls' hands so small?
Every time I shake a girl's hand it feels like I'm going to crush it. I'm not even a very big person. It feels like a little soft thing that disapears in my hand.

I'm a 17 year old guy and my hands are tiny... just over 6 inches from tip of middle finger to wrist. Max hand span is probably about 7 inches. I'm also really short... 5' 3", if that. And my feet are UK5.5 Playing guitar is sometimes a wee bit difficult =/ [Edited on 12.05.2012 3:47 PM PST]

Human males have increased bone density, muscle mass and a string of other male genetic traits. Smaller hands are just another example of such traits. e.g. more hair, taller, heavier, stronger, larger heart, larger lungs, oxygen intake, depth perception etc

I was 5'2 up until grade 11. My hands and feet were disproportional to my height. Size 12 feet and hands the same size as the average 6' person. Answer: evolution and genetics [Edited on 12.05.2012 3:14 PM PST]

I'm 6'2 and have hands to match and I've only met one girl who's hands are bigger than mine and she was 6'4.
