How would you write the number of sets per exercise, the number of reps, and weight etc.
Say something like this. Front lunges. I do 20. Is it written 2/20? Sorry my friend is doing a fitness log and asked me this question. Maybe you guys know xD
Thanks in advance.

I write it like 2x20

^^^ That's also a pretty traditional, standard, and accepted way of doing it, yeah. I'd write it any way you would be able to easily understand it later. It's you -moreover referring to the person doing the log- who has to review, revise, and edit it later. I just put "4 of 8 at 40" or "3 of 10 at 100" or something of the like have I ever the need to write it down. Either way it reads the same as "4x8 @ 40" or "3x10 @ 100" respectively. I usually do (# of sets)x(# of reps) @ (weight) Example: 3 sets of 8 reps at 20 pounds would be 3x8 @ 20. I don't know if this is the "official" way to do it, but as long as I understand it and can track my own progress, I don't see why it matters.

I bought a fitness log once. IDK if I was supposed to balance on it or what, ended up tossing it in the fireplace.

Okay. That seems good. Thanks. [Edited on 11.29.2012 9:28 PM PST]

Weight, sets x reps. So if you're benching 200 for 3 sets of 8, write it as 200 3x8
