What kind of threads get you banned here?
Some topics of mine were recently locked, when none were breaking the rules.
I want to know how lenient the moderators are here, or if there are just specific ones I should look out for (who don't know how to do their job).

I would imagine there is such a thing, considering several people in this thread and several people in the threads linked were quite aware that the OP's threads were meant to antagonize. The argument that "common sense doesn't exist on Bungie.net" is about as played out and tired as the "I'm not touching you" defense that people try to use because the rule they're breaking isn't specifically listed. The funnier thing is, OP wasn't even banned for his threads, I locked them and sent him a PM telling him why. That's about as lenient as you can get on this board and people still want to gripe about it. [Edited on 11.17.2012 10:08 PM PST]

Some will say don't be a jerk, but that doesn't always get you banned. Some will say use common sense, but there is no such thing. Some will say to read the rules, but they are deliberately vague and ambiguous. Ultimately, what kind of threads will get you banned here entirely depend on the moderator and their mood.

Because all threads you make are either controversial, or end up with everyone (understandably) hating on you. Everything thread I've seen you make has had some kind of rude undertone, and some of the Mods don't really take a liking to that. Make threads with better discussion value (without the need to make yourself superior to others) and you'll be set.

I've never been warned or banned in all of my four years of posting. There's logic in the moderators' decisions -it's why they received their title- logic that most users can easily adhere to.

A mod's 'job' is to lock threads. If they're locking yours i'd say they know perfectly well how to do it.
