I've been waiting for a new Elite game for nearly two decades so this may well be amazing.

Sounds exactly the game I want to play at this moment in time, and what I was hoping Bungie would do :) Now just to see the game and then further speculate.

Interesting indeed, but I'm still skeptical, and holding out for the official word from Bungie themselves. I can't wait to see what they bring to the table next year.

I've never heard of "Elite", but I'm sort if glad the game will at least use some elements of Halo, it means the game should feel kind of familiar.

I like the exploration part, but if it plays like Halo, then I'll be a little dissapointed. They left the Halo universe to make something else, except that new game plays like Halo... with exploration. You would expect them to leave almost everything remotely related to Halo behind them. At least that's the impression I get from what the article said. I'm sure everything will work out in the end though, and I'm probably just a little scared of what the future might hold. I kind of wish I had heard about it from Bungie before reading about it on some third party web site. It's like learning about sex from the streets instead of a parent. But what is done is done, now we just need to wait for official word...
