You guys are so -blam!- biased it's not even funny.
You guys think COD is milked for being an yearly release for the past 5 or so years? Lets take a look at Halo:
2007: Halo 3
2008: Halo Wars
2009: Halo 3 ODST
2010: Halo Reach
2011: Halo CEA
2012: Halo 4
It's more or less the same yearly release as COD. And at least COD changes the setting from modern to Cold War then to future. The entire -blam!- Halo series takes place within the same year except Halo Wars.
Halo 3 - finish the fight
Halo 4, 5, 6 - wat
And it would be fine if they just make a completely new setting with new enemies; but NO, what do they do? Bring back the exact same -blam!- enemies as before that you supposedly already defeated. Absolute lack of creativity. Even the Prometheans are really just new ground forms of Sentinel.
And what new gameplay features do they add? Call of Duty style customization. Obviously they want the same target audience as COD, which is successful because it appeals to people of all ages. What else? Flood mode, which is really Infection but with new skins but otherwise no new gameplay features. Spartan Ops - Spec Ops? That pretty much sums up the new features in Halo 4.
Graphically, Halo 4 is just the same as Halo Reach. They are too busy pumping out games to -blam!- update the graphics and physics engine. Oh, and they put a bunch of ugly ass monsters in Halo 4 like the Spartan flood and the -blam!- -blam!- sniper rifle and the obese Pelican. Absolutely atrocious.
But if you can't see through all your fanboyism... oh well, go ahead and waste your money on this never ending story cycle. They will make a Halo 50 one day because of inbreds like you.

If it is getting milked, it's the Cravendale to CoD's ASDA home-brand.
-
OP has no idea what he's talking about.

While this is a troll thread, and Halo isn't the "most milked", it is definitely getting milked. Anyone who disagrees with that is either an idiot or a fanboy.
-
Wow OP you actually took the time to type this out. 1/10 for effort.
-
Posted by: Kakkoi somebodies forgetting about Call Of Duty
Didn't even bother to read the OP, shame.
-
somebodies forgetting about Call Of Duty
-
Have you ever heard of a game called Street Fighter, ignorant Op? They came out with a new crappy game every week after II was released.
-
Don't forget about the expanded universe! Also, CoD had over 10 games by 2010. The franchise started in 2003.
-
OP is a confirmed troll, it's infact the third time I think he made a COD vs Halo thread on the Flood.
-
Halo Wars was not made by Bungie, it doesn't count. Halo 3 ODST was just to fill the gap between Halo 3 and Reach's realease really. CEA isn't really a new game it's just a remake, I wouldn't count that.
-
This thread gave me cancer.
-
Posted by: Bungie Sam Nintendo. /thread
Also; CoD 2: 2005. CoD 3: 2006. CoD 4: 2007. CoD WaW: 2008. CoD MW2: 2009. CoD Black Ops: 2010. CoD MW3: 2011. CoD Black Ops 2: 2012. So... -blam!- please. CoD has been yearly release since 2005, meanwhile Halo since 2007. [Edited on 10.06.2012 5:39 AM PDT]
Posted by: A stupid game Halo combat evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo reach were made by bungie, Halo 3 odst was made by a small team on the side.
That small team was part of Bungie. Bungie made ODST.

Halo combat evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo reach were made by bungie, Halo 3 odst was made by a small team on the side, Halo wars was made by a different studio entirely and Halo 4 is also being made by another studio entirely. Oh and Halo anniversary was a hd update for Halo combat evolved. Just wanna point that out. [Edited on 10.06.2012 5:37 AM PDT]

The games are just scratching the surface. Halo isn't just games, it's an entire merchandising franchise. There's Halo clothing, Halo novels, Halo toylines, Halo movies, coffee mugs, etc. And of course, they'll drag on the games forever.

One of thems a remake, One of them is a different genre and company and the other is essentially an expansion, so that is three main halo games this gen as opposed to cod's eight.
-
Well, the difference is, aside from ODST, every Halo game has had significant graphical improvements and gameplay changes. CoD just adds new perks and guns.
Posted by: banj0
Posted by: omg a bannana
Posted by: banj0 Every single Halo game has been exceptional.
ODST and Reach
I love both of those games, especially ODST.
As did I. Reach got blindly hated. OT: Every Halo game has been excellent unlike any other game. And Halo 4 was made due to such high demand.
Posted by: Megas Alexandros Halo 3 - finish the fight Halo 4, 5, 6 - wat
Exactly.
-
Well you've got some of your dates wrong and Halo Wars dosn't really count.
-
Nope, MGS and Mario are the most milked franchises.
-
they could of just kept the sentinels and Prometheans as enemies to just make it as a new fight. the covenant is supposed to be on your side now, not against you. it makes no sense. i kind of agree, but i'm still seeing to get halo 4 and see how it appears.

Eh. To me, there hasn't been a real Halo game since 2007. Same way there hasn't been a real Kingdom Hearts since 2006. We've just had little snacks between the main meals - tasty snacks, but now I'm ready for something filling.
