...the Covenant have bigger heads in Halo 4. It seriously looks like someone has pumped them up with air or something.

BOOM! Headshot!
-
Probably to make headshots easier.
Posted by: talz321 Probably to make headshots easier.
Which also probably means that Legendary just got more difficult.
-
So now instead of fighting bird-like jackals, we'll be fighting baby Godzillas.

The Milky Way sure is a pretty boring galaxy in terms of biodiversity. Almost everyone is some reptilian thing now.
-
I actually like the new look for the Jackals.
Posted by: TROJANman077 I actually like the new look for the Jackals.
looks like it would be a nightmare to kill. The only one that looks weird to me is the Grunt.

Seems like Halo's getting tooken to a totally different direction; and possibly for the worse. The jackals are drastically different. The elites still look awesome but sooner or later Halo won' be recognised if they keep changing like this. Still, it makes me wonder where the Cov. Seperatists are...

The one thing I don't like about all of the material 343 has released is the art direction. I'm all for "making it your own", but within reason. They've gotten rid of one of the Jackals' main traits, their bird-like nature. Now they just look like Zorgons from the movie Zathura. It just feels like 343 is crapping on Bungie's art direction.

I love how everybody is whining about the jackals "not looking like birds" when they look more like raptors now than ever.
-
With every revision a part of my adolescence dies, and the more irrelevant I become, at least to the game world.
-
I think with the Elite's that's just the way the Helmet looks. If you look at the new MCFarlane figures the Grunts and Jackals with the bigger/different looking heads are actually called Storm Grunts and Storm Jackals, so I'm guessing there's a story reason for them looking this way if they even have a specific name. There's nothing called a Storm Elite however, and the figures look the same as the old Elites, his helmet just makes his head look bigger. In the U.S. at least, you can find the figures at most Targets right now in a big preview figure 4-pack. There's a Storm Grunt in there and I believe I saw the Storm Jackal on the back of the packaging as coming soon or something.

Oh man that jackal looks awesome!
-
You know, I can't wait to see the abomination that'll be a Hunter. I'm just waiting.
-
I did so miss big heads mode.
-
Everything looks great
-
The jackals have been fed a diet of pure fat and steroids, that is why they look that way. I also have no problem with easier headshots.
-
The Jackal has a fish head.

Seriously, Jackals are bird-like. Even Halsey said so herself. The title of the pic is Storm Jackel though. It could be just a new type or breed of Jackel, similar to the skirmishers.
-
Ugh. No.
-
The old style Jackals will still be in Halo 4, the Godzilla looking ones are merely another class thank god.

As long as Legendary returns to it's ridiculous level of difficulty of Halo 2, I'll be happy.
