So, after getting back into multiplayer on here, I was kinda sad to realize that playing with my friends was becoming a problem. We'd be in a party, whether through Xbox Live or the actual in-game chat, and I would get booted out of the matchmaking search/voting round. This is happening pretty constantly, like 3/4ths of the time I play. It's not fair to my friends that have to play rounds a person down, can't drop the search fast enough, and it's just annoying for me. It was dropping me out of games in the middle of 'em so frequently that I wound up getting put on a probation.. And I never leave a game, even if I'm the only one there.
Anyway... I got really fed up with it, but I never seem to lag out of the Xbox Live party. That being the case, I assumed it was Reach. Poked into my network status and my Upstream Bandwidth says "WARNING! Suboptimal networking conditions will affect Matchmaking and gameplay." I was like "FOUND THE PROBLEM! 8D", but no freakin' clue what to do about it.
For the record, my internet has always given me problems outside of playing my Xbox at all, but seeing as how I don't get disconnected from my Xbox Live parties when I get thrown out of matchmaking, I assumed this wasn't the problem, but I could be wrong - it's been known to happen.
Sorry it's so long (and if this isn't the right forum to post in), but I was just looking for some advice on how to fix it. Thanks!
Posted by: MarkFanous actually bandwidth honestly has nothign to do with it, it mainly focuses on your NAT, i had the samething you did, "warning upstream crap for a good 3 months, it didnt affect my searching or my games, what affected it was my NAT,closed took me longer to search and open got it for me in about 5 sec., that upstream doesnt do crap
So now that your NAT is open does your upstream still say "warning". And how's your gameplay? Do you lag in MM? I believe my NAT is and has always been open. My signal is great with the upgraded comcast signal but thats going to change in a month. I refuse to pay twenty dollars a month more for something I should already be getting.
