i remember playing it at my friends house. from then on i always thought what would it take me to be able to join the awesomeness that is bungie
-
Man i remember when i picked up a copy of halo 2 for the first time. When i opened it and played i thought to myself " what kind of godly programmers made this game it it the most incredible thing i have played in my whole life".
-
The best memories I have is all the friends I met on that game. I spent hours trying to find the secret Golden Warthog on Headlong or trying to open the legendary Guardian Gate on Blood glutch (Coagilation). Then there was our infection games, now those were the days when we didnt have a gametype but we still played. Halo 2 i will miss you and one day when I have kids I'll give them my Halo collection and be like "here son, this i what i wasted my life on." lol
-
the best memory of halo 2 i ever had is the killtacular i got on a system link match with a sniper rifle. it brings tears to my eyes now that i know that is is over. i still play halo 2 on a regular basis, but it is sad that it has ended. halo 2 will live on, both in my room and in my heart. bungie, i salute you.

Halo 2 you will be missed!!!!
-
www.xbconnect.com !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
when can we expect a 3 minute montage of every kill ever in matchmaking in halo2?
-
wow 15 people online still, that's not even enough for a big team battle...lol i guess greatness dies slowly....
-
WHATS XB connect? cuz if its like live, u made my day 100 times over!
-
I literaly shed tears. WHO THE HELL NEEDS MORE THAN 100 FRIENDS?! Bring halo 2 live back plz! im a long and huge fan of bungie. I remember playing halo 2 with my dad for first time. plz bungie, It's a child hood memory!
-
there are still like 36 people online how????? must be bungie or microsoft central or something ivebeen tracking the numbers nonstop for the past 4 days
-
Yeah, I'm hoping maybe a few more people will start playing the PC version now... Much as I like Halo 3 better, I still have a lot of fun going back to the older games for a change of pace now and then. And there are still things I miss about Halo 2 (and Halo 1). It's just too bad that Halo 2's PC version didn't turn out better. There might be more people playing it if that had been the case. It's still very playable though, even with it's annoyances. I'd personally rather use it than XBConnect. (although I did try out XBConnect the other day and it does seems interesting enough to mess with)

There is always Halo 2 Vista.
-
sad to see it go :( no longer will i ever be able to bxr someone, or super jump and double shot, and yelling at those dumb people who cheated. halo 2 is wat started me on xbox. if not for halo 2 my life would have never been complete, i would never have learned how to talk s*it to people. haha. have fun everyone. it was one hell of a run. -d.j.
Posted by: maveric101 lol i just thought of this but the last 300 players should get a prize, something called "true spartan," "dining in hell," "warrior of thermopylae" or something.
A friend of mine suggested one better... "MIA" After all... "Spartans never die..." --- Philip

How is there still 73 people online on a service that is shut down!?!?! NOT FAIR!
-
won 15 straight our last night playing, was a good run.
-
was able to get a last few games in on my original Xbox. Halo 2 and other XBL 1 games will be missed on Live. It is sad to see this portion of the service gone. I have enjoyed live from the beginning.
-
lol i just thought of this but the last 300 players should get a prize, something called "true spartan," "dining in hell," "warrior of thermopylae" or something.

I still have not been shut down. 1 out of 307 players still online! I wish i could stay up till they finally shut it off but I have only gotten 4 hours of sleep in past 48 hours. 26 of those hours has been playing H2. So i need sleep. After playing 6418 online matches, which is around 1800 hours of gameplay, this game has becomae part of my life. Since my very fist game back on Dec 26th 2004 at 12:27pm, every hour I have spent playing this game has been amazing. All the friends I have met, all the glitches that were discovered, and always trying to find ways to get out of maps with friends.. good times! Im sad to see Xbox Live get shut down for orignal xbox games but im sure its for the greater good. I will still enjoy H2 on PC and look I am looking forward to Halo Reach. Thank You Bungie for making the best original Xbox game available and thanks to all my online friends for making the past 6 years some of the best experiences I have ever had!! Halo 2 online.. You will be missed..

I wanted to play to the end but when i got out of school it was already gone. Damn it, I wish i had morning classes now instead of night classes. I had fun still. Best series ever. [Edited on 04.15.2010 7:39 PM PDT]

I live in California and it won't let me on anymore. The number of players playing is lowering fast. There are currently less than 800 players playing Halo 2 on Live.
