Best show you've ever been to...

Post about the best show you've ever been to... who, where, and why.. My Favorite well, there's two because they're totally different.. ok first: MxPx a while back in Allentown, PA at the crocodile rock cafe (nice small venue). Best show.. GREAT crowd.. some hardcore OLD fans there. Great set list. Either up aganst the guard rail up front or in the pit the whole time. 2nd: Joy electric: Just because. Purple door Festival.. this past summer in PA (I said two but there's one more) 3rd: Project 86 at purple door festival in Pa this past summer. It had been raining and everybody was COVERED in mud. so the guy from project 86 says "lets get some mud in the air" GIANT MUD FIGHT... next song he says"I'm surprised nobody has had the balls to throw mud this way" MUD FLIES WITH GALEFORCE WINDS AT THE STAGE. For pictures see The Flood Msn group in my sig... they're in my photo album. [Edited on 2/25/2005 8:25:10 AM]

 • DC 101 chilly cook off, Washington DC. It was right next too Georgetown University = the most, bestest looking tites i'v ever seen at a councert Awsome mosh pit it was like the whole fist 30 feet, but some people are stupid everyone was croud surfing but then good charlote got on and everyone started moshing right and all the crowd surfers would get to the mosh pit and get droped flat on there backs. And being a good person that I am I FORCED myself to catch all chics to help them out and of course they wanted to thank me so they would start making out with me, and off course I didn't want to insult these Beautiful college girls so I FORCED myself again to think of there feelings.

 • 1) Soul Coughing - Trippiest show I've ever seen. The way they worked the lighting w/ music was perfect (Pershing Auditorium - Lincoln, NE) 2) Garbage w/ GVSB - Version 2.0 tour. They sounded soooo good. (Sokol Auditorium - Omaha, NE) 3) My Morning Jacket - Very good show. Jim James is the next Neil Young (Bogart's - Cincinnati, OH)

 •
Posted by: MysticRage This is probably dating myself pretty bad, but Metallica and Guns n Roses, Body Count opened at the Oakland Coliseum. Yup, take a trip in the wayback machine.
That tour was when James Hetfield was caught in a pyrotechnic wasn't it. He was seriously burned and G&R could have saved the day by playing early but they refused.

 • 1) AC/DC a few years back. Best. Solo. Ever. Angus Young at one point had around a 10-15minute guitar solo that was ridiculous. It ended with him dropping his pants and mooning the crowd with a pair of British Flag boxers. The rest of the show was just as insane, from the giant blow up woman to Brian Johnson riding the giant bell to the canons for the grand finale of For Those About to Rock. 2) Ozzfest 2000. The lineup was awesome, just the end run on the main stage of Static-X, Godsmack, Pantera and of course Ozzy. Also got to see Disturbed, Kittie and Soulfly on the second stage. Plus Queens of the Stone Age and Incubus played the main stage. I actually gave myself whiplash from headbanging too much at the show. 3) Metallica and Godsmack this past October. From the dueling drums between Sully Erna and the drummer(can't remember his name) to the rigging above the stage being dismantled during the lead in to One. Metallica played for almost three hours and only did two songs from there most recent album. First time I ever lost my voice at a concert from screaming out the refrains to classics like Blackened, Master of Puppets and Seek and Destroy. Now if I can just make it to a Judas Priest concert before I die or they break up again my concert life will be complete.

 • I can't remember the best show I've been to because of a certain beer flavored beverage that goes by the name of beer. Liquidy. Anyways, local shows are usually the funnest. Mainly because you either have your friends there and/or the bar is smaller so it's more personal. I've seen Walls of Jericho and Unearth play here. And a lot of local bands kicks ass. Some hardcore, some metal, some rock, some jazz, and all of them usually rule. I just went to a local show on Wednesday that rocked more than headlining tours do.

 •
Posted by: Lego Saving Diva Post about the best show you've ever been to... who, where, and why..
The Vans Warped Tour in 97. Those that I can remember (drunk) were Reel Big Fish, Social Distortion, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Limp Bizkit, Blink 182. Reel Big Fish was a blast and as always just funny as hell. (They were probably the main reason I went) The crowd went nuts for Social Distortion. A dude from Mighty Mighty Bosstones let me wear his jacket when I saw them walking by and started talking to them. It was Limp Bizkit's hometown and they weren't jerks back then, and Blink got this one kid laid, let kids up on stage, and were a riot. Ahh, the good ol' days.

 • I got to see sublime back in Fort Lauderdale back when I was 15, right before Brad died. Best Show Ever. I also went to see Boy sets fire at the Troc, in Philly about a year ago with my pals. Not too special - except that we're on the DVD!!! You have to frame by frame on the outside shot (the one of the line) but we're there! RIP Trocadero Theater.

 • my favorite was probably a show in Maryland a few years ago. It was Nothingface, Morbid Angel, Soulfly, and Pantera. Very awesome show. I was pretty much right next to a big wall of speakers the whole time and i literally couldn't hear a damn thing for a day and a half afterwards, and it wasn't until about 3 days later that i got pretty much full hearing back. Though my favorite band to see live would have to be System of a Down. First time i saw them was on the 4th of July show of the Summer Sanitarium tour in 2000 (i think). They were only on for like 20 minutes at that show. Finally saw them again at Ozzfest 2002. They're my favorite live band but they weren't my favorite shows. The Pantera one was just too spiffy.
