Does intelligent life exist elsewhere in the universe?

After reading [url=http://io9.com/5918518/a-game+changer-for-the-search-for-alien-life-all-stars-have-planets]this[/url] article it had me thinking. Do you think there is intelligent life out there? Are we alone in this universe?
My personal belief is that there is some form of life out there in our own galaxy. As for intelligent life, I also believe this exists as well. The galaxy and the universe is too big for it not to be.
