Agreed, but it's a nice change of pace don't you think? Playing as a Templar for an entire game (well, perhaps not in the beginning) as opposed to the first three sequences. It's different, both Rogue and Unity. I think I will like Unity more with it's coop capabilities, the new combat and free run mechanics, and the truly immersive open world we have all been waiting for.

I haven't played an assassins creed since 2, so either game would feel new and fresh to me. But to me assassins creed is so European. The architecture, the population, the society, the clothing.
