140s just don't have a place in this sandbox, especially on console. 150s generally have more aim assist, more handling, higher recoil direction, and almost identical range and yet have a faster TTK and are more forgiving in terms of follow up shot time if you miss a headshot.
The 140 RPM and 150 RPM archetypes must be separated.
On top of all this, Ace of Spades has been absolutely neutered on console. It has ben nerfed in the following ways:
1. Range cap of 28 meters with SEVERE damage dropoff;
2. Memento Mori damage nerf;
3. Memento Mori suffers damage dropoff;
4. Ace with Memento Mori active seems to have more severe dropoff than while it isn't active, making all the bonus damage dropoff very quickly; and
5. Memento Mori deactivates upon weapon swap, ghost is pulled out, emote, etc. Only other gun that does this is Tarrabah. Even Soul Devourer stays active on Thorn if you do any of these things.
All these things while Ace has NEVER had more than 3% of kills on console. These nerfs were all done for the sake of PC balance and have made Ace usless on console. 140s in general became useless when they essentially became worse 150s.
On top that, they're now competing with autos with a 0.7s TTK firing at 600 RPM, making follow up shots to account for damage dropoff very fast. So melting a target at 30 meters is nothing for an auto right now.
Personally, I'd like to see 140s have a body shot damage or crit damage increase to allow them to kill guardians in 2 crits and 1 body shots. Body shot buff would be to avoid 2 taps with kill clip or Memento Mori, but I wouldn't be against two taps considering where autos are right now. But I think a body shot buff is more in line with where HCs should be. So, no two taps from Ace, sadly.
A damage dropoff point of 30-32 meters should be fine, considering autos are both more forgiving and more lethal at this point.
Memento Mori needs to suffer damage dropoff at a much less severity level. No reason why it's exotic perk should be null and void at 30 meters. It also shouldn't go away when you swap weapons, but infinite kill clip might be a little much. We'll have to see on that one.
Let us put Icarus on it. All that needs to be said there.
That's all I got. Let me know what y'all think.
And before someone says "NOOB CANNONS WERE META FOR YEARS!!!! LET SOMETHING ELSE SHINE!!!", a sandbox update isn't meant to just "shift" the meta. Its purpose is to narrow the gap between meta and non-meta. That, and I hardly think this change to 140s with no change to autos will kick autos off the top either. It'll just make 140s more consistent, which they desperately need.

1 回复They should just make Ace of Spades a 150 RPM and increase the range of Mentos rounds *Shifts eyes nervously*

1 回复
All these things whole Ace has NEVER had more than 3% of kills on console.
I'm not against buffing a specific weapon on occasion, but this just jumped out at me as a bit odd to focus on, even briefly. That's still a shitload of kills out of all weapons to be attributed to Ace of Spades.

7 回复Nah, bad players despise handcannons cause they get shit on even more in HC metas. AR’s, fusions, and SBMM is the winning formula for PvP.

3 回复由DiZ编辑: 7/16/2020 10:15:31 PMI agree with just about everything here except for being able to stow away Ace and still keep Memento Mori. A permanent Kill Clip just seems way too strong if all of those other changes are implemented.

I just want to keep Memento. I've been maining Ace since ToS started and for awhile I tried Lucky Pants with it but it's completely pointless because you can't use the LP perk with Memento Mori. They literally messed up an exotic pair because of the PC meta.

7 回复They will buff 140s soon. But it’s 110s next and that’ll be cool. Then after that 140s will be back within a few seasons but probably within 2 seasons if they buff them for Hawkmoon’s return which is a decent possibility. But to be sure, dude, 140s will be back and Ace and Hawkmoon will be awesome again.

1 回复Cant agree with the 150's have more stability than 140's part. That is a flat out lie. Show me 1 non pinacle 150 that has 95 stability.

1 回复Bungies idea was always to shift the meta. Back in D1 they said each weapon type would it's time in the sun. They've always shifted the meta, as do almost all games.

12 回复Hand canons don’t need a buff, they’re fine where they are fine where they are. There are players in comp that use Ace and outgun every gnawing hunger and summoner in every match. The guns don’t need a buff you need to get better using it. The logic of every casual player who mains a hand canon is 600pm autos need a nerf and hand canons need a buff. If that happens than Bungie might as well get I’d of every other class of weapons because there will be no counter. If they buff 140 hand canons than 450 autos should get a buff and pulse rifles should get a range buff back to where they were because hand canons aren’t meant to outgun pulse rifles at pulse range. Players just want their favorite guns to be stronger than any other weapon so they can get easy kills instead of actually learning how to be a good player by using the maps and playing advantage over your enemy.

13 回复You’re a console player so maybe you won’t understand why ‘Don’t buff Ace, it’s still busted’ is self evident

1 回复AoS is still one of the top guns in PvP & they should just turn them all into 150s anyway.
-
22 回复Two things. Hand cannons should always be the best by at least a little bit since they are the least forgiving to use and require the most skill to use. Two, 140s should kill with two heads and a body in order to balance them out with 150s. This worked in D1 where the Luna archetype of hand cannon killed with one head and two bodies and the slightly faster firing archetype killed with two heads and one body.

1 回复Dont use it in pvp, it doesnt hit much because the aim assist is bad. It's wonderful in pve

No, thats part of what broke hcs in the first place. 2. Mori already had one nerf, a scond would kill pve viability. 3. I can agree with 4. Not sure. 5. As much fun as it was to abuse the hell put of that with a shotgun, i dont want that perk reverted to where it stays. Thorn only keepa it till its timer dies. 150s arent even that viable in the meta right now.

2 回复Noob cannons were meta for years. Let something else shine. Literally wouldn't have wrote that, but it was in your post
