Title for reference.
Mine would have to be English at university. It's the most pointless thing I've ever had to do... I mean, something like sociology makes sense and actually helps us understand the way society functions. Even philosophy has its uses... But English... All it seems to be is a constant over-reading of texts - literally making a mountain out of a molehill in the process.
And as I write my 3000 word essay on the significance of cross dressing in Twelfth Night, I can't help but think I'm talking far more out of my ass than I do in all of my other subjects combined.

Well, my Civics class is full of pseudo-intellectual atheists who can't think for themselves and worship Richard Dawkins like a god (ironic, I know.) But this class is also my favourite because the Australian girl I'm into is also in there. Overall, I hate gym the most.

Any mandatory health class. They have no structure, and avoid the important topics that students need to learn, so they can teach silly concepts like how to lose weight, and what alcohol does to your body when you drink. You lose weight by burning more than you eat. Drinking is fun, but only in moderation. There, I just taught you all an entire course in two almost fragmented sentences.

I'd have to agree with you OP, English is a bitch even when it's not that hard, I am only in it to improve my essays. -_-

Chemistry is required of Science Academy students at my school and literally nobody needs it. English is pointless beyond the 9th grade. If after that point you still have poor grasp of grammar and spelling, you probably have no future anyway. Foreign language is also pointless unless you live in the Southwest, or Quebec for you Canadians. ALL advanced mathematics are useless. The last thing you really need for life is high school Geometry. Everything further is a waste of time. And don't even get me started on Weightlifting. Yes, my school has a weightlifting class, so bonehead athletes have that much less risk of failing. Not sure how prevalent this is, though.

I have always hated English. -blam!- that class. Once you learn grammar and some useful vocab, it's useless. Yes you learn how to write essays and reports, but my history teachers have taught me that as well. Also, any art class is pretty much pointless. Fortunately I've only had to take one mandatory art class before, and that was in 7th grade.
